I edited my last post but even budget SSDs have an endurance rating of over 200 TBW nowadays. But yeah I don't do anything fancy.Depending on usage, but not particularly.
For consumers, maybe given that they're not doing enterprise numbers of reads and writes. Enterprise level though, HDDs are absolutely preferred due to the hardware limitation. A hard drive that doesn't have to spin up and down but once a patch tuesday can last for a decade or more. When that SSD reaches it's hard limit of P/E cycles (which can be incredibly fast at the enterprise level), it's donezo.
