I wouldn't say it's essential viewing. It's basically just a pilot episode. You're talking about the B&W movie right? The first theatrical movie should be avoided at all costs.

This is something I had to do with groups of people I’ve never met and sometimes there were families in which the fathers were in the US ...and the group would have women and children in it that they would pay the boat captain for. So if we were able men we would carry them and or help them as much as possible...especially through the mangroves.

Keeping the kids quite was a huge deal. If we get caught it’s a done deal for us. Maybe not jail time but we would be under 24/7 vigilance and would have to report our whereabouts. It was very stressful as you can imagine, you don’t know if it’s a trap and you can’t just walk down the street with a suitcase....17 times I did that every time at dawn and I never once saw any boats. Either the guy got scared and floated off or someone tipped him off etc.

Shit was wild thinking about it now but that’s the price for freedom. In the end and thanks to God I was able to arrive in Miami on an American Airlines instead of a beach somewhere

Goddamn, I hate those videos. Crazy how bones in the leg can withstand such incredible force with proper distribution of pressure but snap like breadsticks if a small amount of force lands just right. Knew a guy in college who regularly power lifted and played basketball, and he snapped his femur while fucking jogging down a hill.
