Hmm, I never said she hadn't heard of it. And, yes, you clearly got very bothered specifically at the fact that I casually mentioned talking to a girl about it.

I did a little more digging and some people say Frank Millers politics took a real turn since 9/11. They said he watched the towers fall from his home in Hells Kitchen.

Because of this some people say his other books like Holy Terror had an extremely islamophobic tone and it’s basically anti-Islamophobic propaganda. I never read Holy Terror so I cant comment on that from My point of view.

people say he’s progressively gotten crazier throughout the years and it’s reflected in his writing. The last thing I read from him was a few issues of Batman and Robin but I didn’t like it so I never finished it, once again I can’t comment on his newer stuff.

other people say throughout the 90s his work was starting to really delve into these attitudes as well. 300 was released in the late 90s if I’m not mistaken so maybe he did write it with that in Mind.


If this is true 300 seems to get a pass because the story is told through the narrator. Because of that he’s denigrating the depictions of the enemy. In this case the Persian empire. The narrator is telling the story to the Greek armies before they’re lead into battle against the Persian war machine. So he’s painting them in the most unflattering light possible. The story also had a very fantasy feel to it which makes it easier to digest that the Persians employed beasts and ghoulish looking men in their hordes.

perhaps this was all done as some sort of cover.


The fact remains 300 should not be looked at with any serious nod to factual
History. It’s an over the top action fantasy style movie, that’s poorly written. The dialogue is not good but the action scenes are what sold the movie to begin with. No one went to see this for the history lesson or the factual accuracies.
 
Well i believe this Trotsky guy. I think he really picks up girls having conversations like that. It's not a bad idea TBH certainly better than bombarding them with memes.

He is still wrong but i believe he is narcissistic enough to think he is smart and tries to impress girls with that.

You seem to post about me a lot, but I appreciate you not tagging me.

However, I don't believe any girl has ever dated me because she thinks I'm smart or on any political or philosophical basis. Whether you think I do on this message board or not, I don't believe I come off as all that smart in person. Most women that I've been with haven't been overly political either.
 
I’d also like to say Chernobyl was one of the best shows I’ve seen on tv in quite some time. HBO really.

it was great across the board.

Wait, you means 300, right? Not The 300 Spartans?

The latter is a 1960s movie. Wanna say it has Kurt Russell. It would not be a movie I would expect acid trippers to want to watch. But it would definitely make your story more unique.
