Depending on what it would cost on the sunroof it might not have been worth going through insurance

I got comprehensive coverage and insurance said they'll file it under "wind damage" so I likely won't face a premium hike of any kind. I hope. State Farm has been pretty good to me that way, I've had them for over a decade and never had to file a claim.

That's good then. I have comprehensive coverage as well but I always tell friends to get an estimate before going through insurance regardless. I've been with Nationwide for 21 years lol. The only company I've been with longer is Sprint

I don't think it's particularly obscure. I think people just don't associate it with it's history, because until relatively recently everyone called it Burma.

For most isolated Americans, the SE Asian mainland comprises of Thailand, Vietnam... and that's it. Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos are far more obscure.

Seems like you know what you're doing. Windshield repair is beyond cheap but like I mentioned the sunroof could be expensive. I think it cost close to $1100 to fix the one one on our Escalade

Luckily the glass on mine looks fine. It’s the mechanism that moves it around that’s broken or acting up I think. The damn repair kit on Amazon is like $25 so I assume most of the cost is labor.

My tax return just deposited and I get paid Thursday so I can cover it if needed.

No accident. Rock chip in my windshield became a crack so getting the windshield replaced and then the soft cover for my bed got pulled up by wind and came down on my roof and damaged something internal in the sunroof causing it to not open/close and it won't seal itself now in the "shut" position unless I jam something into it to hold it shut.

Had a car with a sunroof. Never again. Leaky motherfucker bullshit.

Some dudes need to switch to shower gel and a scrubby. Bar soap is so last century.

Just got my 65 year old, diabetic, obese, asthmatic, high blood pressure, and heart disease (has a pacemaker) father a vaccine appointment later this week.

That'll be such a damn relief once he gets his two doses. He hikes 45 miles a month and is in better shape now than in his 40s, but has every pre-existing condition imaginable for Covid.

Feels good. I've been hunting through pharmacy websites multiple times a day since he turned 65. His healthcare provider said they're only doing 75 and ups, or essential workers. Which would leave him in the dusts for months.

@PolishHeadlock2, the cone is the way to go. But if you don't have one on hand, we've had some luck with dabbing the sore spot with honey, wrapping in gauze, then taping a sock over it.

No shit. We haven't had bar soap in the house since Covid hit (my wife spends a ridiculous amount of money on sanitizer)
