It's called autism and he has severe ADHD, I realize I'm probably overly defensive as someone on the spectrum and he's my hero.

Look bro, ADHD and Autistic people get this shit levied at us nonstop. Go back and watch the Rogan interview and watch his eyes, he addresses every topic in the only ways he knows how.

I appreciate it. I hope you realize that I can be dramatic about a subject and still love a homie lol.

I don't think HR lost his edge. I like him mostly as a writer/orator. He didn't become comfortable as he got more money, he went to warzones. I highly disagree with a lot of the sentiments in this thread, respectfully of course.

After our tif the other day, glad we can come together here.

Brother, I didn't even know HR was autistic (which isn't a chemical imbalance btw) Regardless, I'm not going to lie about my opinion of him because he has done amazing things and contributed greatly to his medium. Peter Sellers was a cunt. I'm not shitting on him because he's an alcoholic and ignoring his comedic genius by saying that.
I would be offended if you lied lol. And thank you for correcting me.

I've never been good at following through with mental healthcare. I remember being diagnosed with ADHD going and then told I'm on the spectrum of autism as an adult and I was like "lmao.. makes sense"

Agree with this. Agnostics too often mix up "we don't know the answer" with "each possibility is equally likely," which is a big part of the stupid hedging I mentioned to @Trotsky.

It's not a super uplifting answer, but there's one "not 100% certain" option that's much more rationally defensible than the rest (if you're committed to that sort of thing).

I think "I don't see any good reason to believe this is true," is an agnostic position and very different from thinking it's up in the air. Though for myself, I'd say that by most definitions, religious claims can't possibly be true. I certainly don't fear hell at all.

@PolishHeadlock2, I think "radical" is the opposite of conservative by some definitions, but the issue is that lots of definitions of lots of the terms are used. I like Jon Nerst's compass based on thrive/survive and coupling/decoupling axes.

There's a difference between sayin "no" and "I don't know".
Sure? No meaningful difference in this case. I guess you can seem like less of a dick to religious people when you tell them you don’t worship things you don’t believe in.

Hawaii.

Locals aren't that friendly, unless they're more white than brown. The transplants are like ex-pats here. Gotta befriend each other or go without.
Locals are very friendly. Just need to have respect and how talk to them is all Go find an older local who surfs. Call him Uncle and ask him about surfing. They see you're cool and they'll take you out. I'll be back on my island next week. If you're on the same island, and you really want to try, no problem. Much Alohas.

I wish i quoted this post with the David Byrne video. Check that out. Echoes your post.

Mental health has a lot of stigmas, which is. unfortunate. If you had high blood pressure, or pain, you would treat it.
Get with your psyche, or find a new one if you weren't comfortable with you current one, and get back on that horse. Not just meds, but cognitive therapy. And I'm literally begging you to do this for several consecutive months before you consider going to Syria.

Sure, just like whites love the brothers who show deference.

I don't kiss ass, nor do I surf, so not my problem. :)

Which island you on? Big Island here.

Right where I’m at with it. Though I’m agnostic as to what that means about me.

It all leads to The wonderful Nexus Mr. Sick.... I can't wait to show you....

Big Island? I was born on Big Island but haven’t been there since. My family is now on Oahu and Kauai.

Next week I’m going back to Oahu. Are you military?

Fuck the military. But would love to hang out if we're ever on the same island.
Just saw your location. "Hell"? Really?! LOL!

But yeah, if you ever get out of "Hell", hit me up. Can keep talking shit here too and all will be forgotten in the water.

I thought nonkoreans was the main base of kpop? Every other girl under 20 is a kpop fan.
Yeah, you'd be surprised. Lot's of women in their late 20s and 30s are really into kpop now too

Those boy bands are low-key huge with black women and latinas

S
Nah. I'm not demonizing artists nor am I belittling people with autism. But, I guess in a way you can say that I am belittling his art. But to belittling the fact that he is an artist or that he has autism (which I only learned just now from you)

An asexual straight edge ex hardcore singer who used to swing on people for disrespecting him who travels the world and delights in meeting strangers? Bruh when millennials write the next DSM that's going to be the next diagnosis for the 'tism.

His art via music, bit understandable. Wasn't a fan of the Rollins Band myself. His show introduced me to so many good bands (it's how I discovered Gogol Bordello lol)

I actually don't hold grudges unless you get super personal or more importantly insult a marginalized group. Or you're England.

Mental health issues create almost every art we adore. At least as a leftist we create art, right wingers deal with mental health issues via domestic violence.... Kind of kidding.

As far as Syria there's not much to worry about and if god forbid I actually died it would be a Turkish bomb. Their ISIS gangs Turkey utilizes are losing every battle.

So at the very worst I'd be like "yo is somebody whistling?" Kerboooom.

Realistically I'll be fine. It Biden can create a no fly zone and it's just ground fighting against Turish proxies they'll be stomped out fast. Turkey is just as bad if not worse than ISIS but we don't talk about it lol.

If you're wondering what is worth defending, check a little of this. Democratic Confederalism is working. From the way their police force to their medical structure works.

It's beautiful, and I clearly don't have any cash, but I'll put my bus money where my mouth is.

Yea that's a case where I don't see how the label makes any functional difference outside of semantic conversations. I also can't think of a case where "I don't see any good reason to believe this is true" can't be immediately followed up by "I can see good reasons to believe this isn't true" which leads me away from agnosticism.
