Hour 22 sans power. It's 16 right now, probably 28 in my house. Can't feel my toes. Got 18" of snow last night. My pool is frozen solid.

Phone's about to die soon and that's my last lifeline to the world. Fuck snow

@Limbo Pete I think we need to see Larry and Ben Shapiro in the same place to prove they are not the same person.

How does Hawthorn go about hiding his smile lines until he gets to know someone?

Also, what the hell is with that grammar? A sentence fragment followed by a comma splice? How does that make it past editing?

@Amerikuracana is a better writer than Ben Shapiro. Confirmed and basically obvious on its face tbh.

Except for black people, native Americans, and women

He also had to turn right around and put down the rebellions that rose up against him and the new government lol
That detail doesn't get much attention imo, particularly with how important it was to the whole "well regulated militia" thing
Edit: Also, he was a ruthless, elitist land speculator that got very rich from driving the British out

Turn your faucet on to a trickle so your pipes don't freeze.

I was going for the fact that he wasn't elected President (per the Constitution) until more than a decade after the Constitution was signed, he didn't really preside over its creation at all (he presided over the Convention), and describing the US militias as "an unstoppable force" is historically inaccurate both in intended meaning (they weren't particularly great) and its strategic implications (they weren't a charging force but rather a defending one). For the last point, it's like calling the Viet Cong an unstoppable force.
