Social War Room Lounge v. 196: How's the karate going?

Everyone loves going to the theater to get lectured.

I was once dragged to a theater show by my ex, very reluctantly mind you. It was two French (I think) alternative dudes, and from what I remember they were performing a piece that invited you TO THINK ABOUT LIFE and social shit or whatever. I vaguely recall one of them doing a trust fall, and the other dude let him fall and then he talked. There were NO SEATS in the room. The final part of the piece was interactive and they had a deep conversation with the audience.

I was so pissed off, I told my ex "I did not buy fucking tickets to talk to two artsy French guys". I still get worked up like 4 years later.
Well, I guess we know why the person is referred to as your ex.

Baard Kolstad is like if you gave a robot a soul

Especially for @AgonyandIrony but also anyone who is interested in drumming

That was fucking baller.

Have been burned too many times with these Silent Hill rumors lol.

This one is from the dude who leaked the last Assassins Creed so maybe it's actually true.. I guess we'll find out next month. Seriously. Junji Ito doing the monster design would be fucking insane, There's been plenty of body horror in the Silent Hill series, Homecoming actually had some solid monster design. (A game I still think is underrated. Along with 4.

An interview with Del Toro talking about Junji and Silent Hills. Super cool interview too.

This is how I know you watched the whole thing, haha. The first 3/4 or so is pretty repetitive and "simple" (it's not simple by any means), and the last quarter just goes balls out. A real masterclass in building a song.
I was like. "This is pretty cool... Ohhhhhhhh shit"

That was fucking wild , right up there with Tyson going cannibal on Holyfield

If memory serves the crowd laid a beating on the guy lol
I don't remember who won. I was 8 and my uncle had ordered the fight.
The fan man killed himself in 02.

Respectfully disagree. I think it's infinitely better than the Klitchko era.

You weren't a fan of the jab...jab...jab...STRAIGHT. , clinch...jab jab jab STRAIGHT, clinch style of fighting?

In all fairness it worked great for Wladimir. Don't fix it if it ain't broke.

But you're correct...in the past couple years, there have been some great heavyweight bouts.

Luis Ortiz, AJ, DW and the gypsy king have put on some great shows

Klitchko era is terrible. Classic Eastern Euro chess style boxing, and the guys are both like 7 feet tall so nobody can do anything. As close as we'll get to 'computer' boxing at the heavyweights.

Great analogy to chess...

That's exactly what it was...a systematic, strategic destruction of opponents

By crowd you mean Bowe's scum entourage.

I remember watching this fight, maybe 3 years ago as it took place before I was born, without knowing the result or this man jumping in. Was good as watching it live and shocked by this stunt. Imagine being in the arena or one of the boxers and this happens. You would think it’s part of the show or something. I have to give him credit though, for the originality and pulling it off. I think the man passed away some years after this.

I'm expecting boxing to make a comeback. Its by nature a great sport, just very poorly run.

Sugar Ray Leonard was the start of its downfall, Mayweather put pretty much brought it to its low point, and since he didn't pass the torch to anyone boxing has to reinvent the way its run for the sake of the sport.

If boxing had the same structure as the UFC it would be on fire.

The best subtle nuance in the whole playthrough is that he didn't accent the low bass tones with the kick early in the song, but once it popped off, he did. It's miniscule but it's the kind of nuance I love.

Yea, I think they beat that dude unconscious

His clan of clowns were always looking to beat someone up. Hell they even attacked a fighter in Golota after he gifted Bowe a disqualification. Not sure Riddick was much of a prize himself having stabbed and kidnapped his ex wife.
