But seriously, I'm not judging the quality of the posts. I'm saying that they are clearly cantered around a specific topic; it's a discussion that has been ongoing over many days; and the number of people discussing it has grown beyond the initial two. If ever a discussion deserved its own thread it's this one.

I don't support illegal immigration. Read my posts. I just don't think that makes them all bad people that couldn't contribute to our society. As I stated earlier I'm not familiar with all the specifics but people that come here seeking asylum should be processed.

Yes in theory we can't have a system with no oversight at all in the modern world but that's not what we had before. For example over half a million people were allowed in through the CHNV program, as far as they knew they were following the process only to have the whole program pulled out from under them.

The anti-immigrant crowd is just insanely bad faith and detached from the reality of immigration. You mention the bipartisan border bill, that was drafted by a Republican only for Republicans to reject it because it was inconvenient for Trump.

Or look ITT how when Cajun said we have no shortage of homebuilders and I cited side data suggesting otherwise he then moves the goalposts to talking about Texas and when I address that with some citations he moved the goalposts yet again. And are any of these people who claimed to only want sensible immigration enforcement against illegals outraged by Trump's lawless, cruel approach to immigration? For the most part no, in fact they're all too willing to justify it make excuses for it.

Yeah Biden introduced the CHNV program towards the end after he was getting hammered; therefore, there was no issues with the other 8 million.

No choice really, since they had wars with France, USA and Cambodia in relative short amount of time. By the time they fought Cambodia they were so battle hardened Cambodia has like zero fucking chance. Would be funny if they called them Vietnam War 1, Vietnam War 2, Vietnam War 3 etc. If the shoe is on the other foot, same sort of thing naturally.
