I made onigiri for the first time today. Spicy haddock with green onions. It was delicious. Does your wife make you some? If so, favourite ones?
I took some of my japanese friends to my parents house for a weekend to ride horses, shoot guns and fish. I remember Kioko, my buddy Nao's wife making the pickled plum kind at our house. They were great. She would give them to her kids for breakfast or snack.That sounds good. Way to go. Onigiri is terrifically handy ;P
She usually uses either pickled plum or smoked salmon. I adore both.
