yea, that's simple.
some infractions are way more egregious than others.
Physically assaulting someone is categorically wrong and wrong doers should be punished accordingly.
calling someone a **** or in the case of Rick, implying that police would/should exact vengeance for killing one of their own and being reported on that are different, no?
I'm not reporting him, but look at this:
You're out of touch and stupid and now you're mad because I pointed out how stupid your argument was. Go fuck yourself, you dumb cunt.
her der, poor people take the bus! What a fucking goofball argument. Holy shit.
Does this kind of thing do anything positive for the group? Doesn't it just make this place less pleasant and informative and maybe scare off normal people who would like to participate? The mods don't seem to have the capacity or interest to proactively handle stuff like that. So what's wrong with someone being a Good Samaritan and fixing it. Likewise for the hundreds of stupid "LOL" responses that drag down real discussions.
I don't even know who he's responding to (in one of those at least, he either didn't quote anyone or quoted someone I ignore), and maybe it's two-way. But then fix them both. It's fine to say it's not important, but reporting (if handled well by mods--which I don't know if it usually is) makes the place a little bit better for people. It's the exact same thing in the real world. Cops can't be everywhere, and we know that citizens taking the law into their own hands just makes things worse.
