If it makes you feel any better I have you several notches above Jack but we know that's not saying much.
So a few dudes randomly put a name down and that's supposed to speak for the WR? lol.
Personally I think Pan is a better than average poster who acts like he knows everything, lacks the courtesy to answer direct questions when he thinks the answers go against his position, repeats himself as a way to either ignore the other poster's arguments or he just doesn't read and understand them, and acts like a smug prick while doing it. He used to be much better. Less smugness and less preaching his own viewpoint. Things change though. Plus, he totally self-owned himself right here. Nobody more cocky around here than this dude.

If you're going to make something official then have enough motivation to do it more properly and put the existing "nominees" up to a vote rather than this half-ass approach. I bet @Rod1 beats him out if given the chance.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't recall your arguments on anything. If we've interacted that little and you still feel salty about this, I can't do anything about that.
Your reading too much into it man.
Literally all I did was just go back through the thread and tally them up. It didn't really seem like there was much interest to take the thing more seriously than that..
You could at least @ me if you're going to reference me. And I didn't self-own, you seem to be making the same mistake he made in the application of that quote. Conflating my "attitude" with being cocksure about the outcomes. I can be "smug" and still acknowledge that there are multiple variables in play.
And my "smugness" always bothers people who don't agree with me when they don't agree with me. I answer every question directly. You and I run into the same problem which is that when I directly answer your question in a fashion that you didn't expect or like, you accuse me of not answering. You're not the only one who responds that way.
Here's why - you ask questions presupposing the line of thought (if not the exact answer). And when I give you an answer that doesn't remain within the general line of reasoning that you expected, you interpret the answer as an indirect response when that's not the case.
It's like asking someone to give you a ride, expecting them to arrive with a car. They show up and ask you to climb on their back, they'll carry you. It never crossed your mind that they would have a different interpretation of the request. So you treat their interpretation as them being difficult when it's jut that they explored more possibilities than you.
And I repeat myself as many times as necessary for someone to understand my position. If they don't understand it, they can't argue against it intelligently. If you find me repeating myself to you, it's probably because you don't understand many of my positions before you start arguing against them (which we've seen in the past where you completely misstate my position on things like mj).
You mean like a thread where people make nominations? That's what I thought you did and am saying that if you want to officially bestow some honor as the winner (which is how I'd characterize what you did) then there's a better way to do it that would give other fine posters a chance to be recognized. If I'm reading too much in it's because @Lead backed your effort. Which makes it seem a bit more than you just doing some math.

I wasn't under the impression this was terribly serious.
I agree with the vote thing. People like voting. We could make a list of all who were nominated and then tag everyone including @jgarner and then vote.
We could certainly do a runoff, if that's a thing people want. I have a list of all the names- maybe excluding one or two I missed- of roughly everyone that has a nomination in the thread already. Problem is not everyone straight out said "best poster"; the award titles were often kind of nebulous. I'd also suggest we do this just for Best Poster as Arkain won Best TS in a landslide.I agree with the vote thing. People like voting. Bee in his bonnet, I guessDamn, looks like Cubo is using this thread to get his anger out for the whole year. Or I guess it's all jokes?
It wasnt hardYou went through 30 pages of tallying up votes. I'd say you think it's important.
It wasnt hard
Value? Nay, cherish!Never said it was. I said you considered it important enough to do, so it's disingenuous for you to pretend like it's not something you value doing.

If I should fall, bury my heart in the War RoomAnd there's nothing wrong with that, my friend.
