Inb4 Luba tells us that the only really hard thing he ever did was build a time machine- he's a medical doctor not a physicist- but even that wasn't so bad because his future self (that is a physicist, among other things) helped him with it. It just took a while but what's a few years when you've got all of eternity?

Medical school was not super difficult. Basically, the first 2 years I worked and watched TV for a month, crammed a few days, took some tests, then rinse and repeated. Toward the end of year 2, studied for a big test for a few weeks and then onto clinicals. Basically just a huge 2 year vacation. Third year was following some doctor around doing scut work. Fourth year was the most useless of all. Mostly a vacation with a couple months of work and residency interviews.

Medical school was not difficult at all. And very inefficient. I could have finished the entire process in probably less than 2 years, if I had been allowed.

I'm guessing this school was south of the border and your "degree" is printed on a Sabor de Soledad wrapper
Unrelated question: Do you have both your kidneys?

I guess most people don't realize, but medical school is basically all self-study. No one attends lectures. You just read through powerpoints. So if you learn at a much faster rate than everyone else, you can see how it would be incredibly inefficient.

US based school ranked in the top 15 or 20 by US News when I was there, not that this means a damn thing.

So a top 20 med school is so easy that you can cram on weekends, not attend class, read through PowerPoints, and destroy the exams. I guess it doesn't take much to maintain a top 15-20 ranking by the most recognized ranking system in the US.

Some people studied a lot more and still failed out.

Some people studied a lot more and still failed out. I guess it just goes to further confirm the notion that not everyone who gets into medical is super smart. In honesty, I typically crammed about 4 days per month. It wasn't enough to be the best in the class, but enough to be above average. The thing that matters most is USMLE scores. You typically take the first exam (by far the single most important piece to your residency application) at the end of your 2nd year. So I studied enough to do well on this when the time came. For the rest of the time, I was content just being above average and enjoying all the free time I had.

Why do you keep asking so many personal questions?

I do not want to share where I live, where I work, what specialty I went into, where I graduated med school.

The Dr. Steve Brule School of Medical Quackery
Graduated at the bottom of your class, but things are opposite there so that means you finished first-ish

Luba has it on permanent life support with his ill conceived and poorly executed attempt at convincing strangers on the internet he's a doctor
There's no convincing of anything. I said I am because I am. You can either judge me by the content of posts and accept this, or you can bury your head in the sand.
