I never saw an E-5 supervise an E-6 in the AF, ever. Their file went to the shop chief or an Lt. if the situation called for it. Even shitty activated guard guys who were senior got put under the Chief despite taking orders from E-5s until they got up to speed. Lots of E-5s filled in temp for E-6/7 slots, hell I even did that for a year.

Weird seeing him in this thread, as I've heard so much about him, but he seems pretty ordinary.

Massive ego, claimed stuff that seemed farcical (like what he just said about higher ranking guys reporting to him in the military), how he made 300k a year from his home, scored 10,459 on his msats. Fought in smokers. One of these on their own ok, but all together it just seemed like BS. One of the clone Luba accounts said it best when they wrote "I am Luba, soon I will just absorb energy directly from the sun and will no longer eat or sleep". Again this was long ago so I prob have much of the particulars wrong, but U get the idea.

At the same time while Luba was not stinging in his posts he could be quite funny in posting about all the guys that were ragging on him. And he never threw in the towel. Drove some people crazy.

Also a bit of a eat the poor libertarian.

I always thought on balance he was ok / and quite funny at times. I thought men's rea thought the same thing but i guess they had a fall out.

I do miss me some Poly and his unique ability to go the fuck off but not manage to seem as out of control as others that do it

Also he had great stories of being around the cannibals in Liberia and shit

All of Lubas stories feel like bits of others peoples lives or exaggerations of the truth / with a couple of details mixed up that gets the hackles raised.

There is always an element of mild one upmanship, like "I hired him and found out he lied about his credentials" or I "I used to beat up untrained grunts at our gym fight night or at smokers". Just reminds me of the all guys that would come up and tell me "i used to fight underground mma". Smells like teen bullshit.

I will say, true or not Luba provides entertainment value....so welcome back Luba.

I worked in intel in a joint service environment with all other branches and civilians. We had an operational chain of command for work and an AF chain of command for EPRs and shit like that. I never worked on a military base and wouldn't see my AF chain of command for months at a time. The jobs I worked were very specialized and the certification process might take a year to complete. I was mission supe (E-7 position), there for a few years, and by far the best and most knowledgeable person in the shop. They're not going to put a brand new E-6 in the shop into a position above me when they don't even know how to do the job.

Answer this directly please: Did you write on an E-6 while you were an E-5?

I trained an E-8-select on half the shit for our shop, and an E-7 to be my supervisor. It's not a big deal. The new guy takes direction from fucking A1Cs sometimes. Also, "Intel" is an amazingly common claim among those who make strings of difficult-to-believe claims. And false claims of being a doctor are practically part of Sherdog's fabric. I am skeptical.
