I like some posters that just drop posts and dont discuss much, such as Lucifer Alpha and Seano.

Yeah, it takes all kinds, but Lucifer and Seano will reply to you if you engage them. I actually thought Sloppy was pretty funny, unless of course he was serious. I'd bet money it was someone's alt.

I honestly thought it was HollywoodNicky for awhile, but HN would actually argue and discuss. I did have a couple of conversations (heated ones mind you) with sloppypie too. And actually in Mayberry when talking about movies and whatnot he's alright.

Make no mistake, it was literally only one or two likes and I made mention of the fact that I was surprised at the time. The one was in the WR, and it was almost a mistake-post by him, and the other was in Mayberry about a movie which was surprisingly on point. Again I was shocked. Maybe it's been sometime but I really don't remember him being the best on content. He did make threads a lot of current events which were useful but then it would get derailed fast after that.

And I'm guessing officially he was anti-zionist but the comments he made at times were flat out jew hate. Pretty sure he was banned for one of those comments.

But, regardless, I hated how he'd just run roughshod through thread after thread after thread calling people every name in the book without retribution. Not to pat myself on the back too much, but I was one who finally stood up to him and hard. He actually took it strangely personally, and toned it down some - at least for awhile before getting banned. I don't know if he was caught off guard by me or what. And I don't consider myself some kind of watchdog or anything, I just finally had enough. He lasted maybe another year after that, but honestly didn't post much after our confrontation for many months. I don't know if anyone else remembers this or not.

What I never got was why he thought "Conservatard" was a good word to use. Like I would read his posts and it made the voice I gave him much more whiny cause I couldn't think of a normal person who would find that word clever to use against his opponents. It was more cringe worthy than Trump's lying Ted, Little Marco, or Crooked Hillary. WWE name calling-esque but without any form of thought behind it.

I think he got people emotional about the topic which can be entertaining at times. I don't think it always helped the actually discussion though. Sometimes it could cause it would motivate people to prove him wrong but you can do that without his style.

But to be fair Kippy and I would regularly debate people who openly advocated for nuking the middle east, who cheered on the bombing of hospitals and water supplies, and who frequently brushed off the deaths of innocent women and children as nothing more than collateral damage.

He's the only poster I really went after. I got tired of him refering to anyone as "bitch" or any other even more derogatory term. Like you'd read a thread and it was him just running anyone and everyone down - again, roughshod as how I saw it, bullying. I saw a lot of his following was garnered from running actual good posters out of threads and them not conversing when he was around. For the most part I saw the WR discussion really devolve during the height of his posting.

But anyway, obviously some decent posters liked him for whatever reason. I never reported him once or called for his ban. That happened organically I guess.

I don't agree. I don't know who to compare him to, but no, I don't believe he was honest (at least not all the time on all issues). He was extremely abusive and disrespectful to anyone who disagreed with him to boot. Suffice to say I was not a fan.

@panamaican for being the one I think I'm the most in tune with politically and intellectually. He makes me go "That's exactly what I think!" on a regular basis.

@Rod1 's insight into Mexican-American trade relations makes for incredibly compelling reading, and seeing him annihilate fools with facts is delicious. His discussion with Madmick about Ireland's taxation of Apple was one of the best discussions this year.

@Arkain2K for his unique dedication to, and skill in, maintaining threads and fostering ensuing discussions.

@Kafir-kun for being exceptionally pleasant to talk and argue with. Also a frequent donator of likes, which I have no problem with :3

@WhitebeltXL for having one of the most readable discussions of the year with Rod1 regarding the EU. I guess that's also a feather in the cap for Rod1.

@sodapopinski for the memes and social media. I have no defense: I just enjoy them. What can I say.

@Ruprecht for causing the most destructive meltdown of a poster I've ever seen, and with what appeared like no effort at all. It would be scary if it wasn't so enjoyable.

@Zankou for being the one I wish posted more. A lot more.

I've been groaning at his threads for a while, but after engaging with the most recent one I came out with a positive opinion of him. I think he's completely wrong, but I genuinely don't think he's a troll.
