Crime War memorial vandalised in Eltham, Australia

Not sure if you have had an opportunity to attend the War Memorial in Canberra, but worth a visit to anyone. Solemn, and for me a profound experience. Try to time it with a daily Last Post ceremony if you can.

I have been there and yes, was surprised at how much it affected me, seems similar to you.

The great ocean road is a scenic thing for tourism ( 12 apostles and stuff ) but all the rest stops have plaques and information on victoria cross receivers and such. Was built as a memorial by returned soldiers from ww1 so lots of references and memorials. Its a really nice drive in a nice car and quite impressive on a few levels

The Great Ocean Road was built by approximately 3,000 returned Australian soldiers between 1919 and 1932 as a war memorial for fellow servicemen who died in World War I. Conceived by Howard Hitchcock to provide jobs for veterans and connect isolated coastal communities, the 243-kilometre road was constructed using hand tools, explosives, and basic machinery.

Separately, in Melbourne, a momument to politician and poet Adam Lindsay Gordon was vandalised and an Australia flag was burned in Brisbane.

N that is also dumb but who cares. Although im sure burning the aboriginal flag would illicit a far different response

as long as it's actual aboriginals doing it, i can respect it.
if it turns out to be white libtards doing it, lol, fuck off.

I'd say there's no chance it was indigenous people doing this, 99.9% it was "white libtards" as you put it. My area is very white and middle class, our electorate voted "Yes" in the Voice by a fair margin, local member is Labor and has been for a while, just giving you a picture of our area.

Just turn the area around Ayers rock into Vegas. That'll shut 'em up.
