It's an interesting case. CM is an unreliable witness. The hair cutting thing isn't corroborated; is her hair missing? What about having the point pressed against her throat or threatening to slash her? No cuts or indentations from that? Even dull, I would think it would leave a mark. Her talking about a "non-sexual" relationship with a friend sounds off. Most likely she was cheating with another guy, WM found out, and violence ensued.

The knife story means the attempted murder charge won't stick. WM will go away for the DV, especially with his priors. But I don't see him going away for life. It's questionable whether she had a reasonable chance of losing her life that evening; who knows. CM's credibility will come into play, and you'll have a hard time finding 12 jurors and two alternates to believe 100 percent of her story.

She didn't say her relationship with the friend was non sexual. They just weren't engaged in sex when war machine arived uninvited. She stated her relationship is on again and off again with war machine. Other dude seems to believe he is also Macks boyfriend.

The weapon is not required for an attempted murder charge since a weapon is not required to murder someone. He is facing between 7 and 35 years in prison depending on what he is convicted on.
 
For info that first link is just the warrant, probable cause declaration for arrest. That is not the full police report. Which should have more detail, photos, evidence taken, etc.

Non-Sexual though they have had sex. Not sure what that means but he seems to believe he is her boyfriend. Their sexual relationship is rather irrelevant.
