Waldo's TDD is solid Pav will not be able to take him down and lie on him for 3 rounds like Rozen. Waldo's head movement and punching defense is good enough to avoid most big shots but even if he does catch him with something big, his chin is solid enough to likely not get shut off instantly. Waldo has decent enough foot work to avoid staying on the center line and avoid Pav's straight punches as Pav doesn't do well with people who can move more than just forward and backward. Waldo has good low kicks and will be able to take the heat off Pav's punches and slow him down. Pav said he is going to hunt for the finish and make it a fun fight so he's probably going to make more than a few mistakes Waldo will capitalize on, maybe get a good TD since Pav is shown to be clueless off his back and Waldo has been shown to have good top control or maybe he lands a good Dominican fast ball over the top that will make Pav more hesitant to let his hands go or puts him out? Either way Pav's time has come.

He arguably lost to Sergei Spivak. I think Pavlovich handles him with relative ease.

Wouldn't be surprised if Waldo takes a decision by playing the Khazmat safety card but if he intends to stand with Pav, he will get put back in the salsa jar

We'll see. He'll need to have really improved. Cortes probably should have lost to spivac, and spivac is a definite step down from pavlovich. Not saying he can't win, but he's going to need to be sharp to not get meaningfully hit by the level of firepower that can come back at him.

If this were title run Pav I wouldn't have even made this thread but the current Pav I just don't see handling him easily especially not after how he fought against Rozen.

He's a decision machine, so that's really his only way. Hopefully Pavlovich stiffens his boring ass in the first round.
Pavlovich can't stiffen anyone in the first round anymore. He's becoming boring himself.

Sergei has greeco-roman background actually, the Overeem loss was years ago, acosta only grappled Despaigne,he ain't gonna grapple Pavlovich

Huh? The only guy Waldo has taken down in the UFC was Despaign who has absolutely non-existent TDD and overall grappling. Pavlovich is a far superior grappler to Waldo. Your post makes no sense.

Edit: @Bakayoko and I sharing a brain at the same time lol

Confident Pav KO’s him in round 1. If he’s hesitant or timid at all it’ll go to a decision 29-28 Salsa Lad

Waldo will gas and get finished in the 3rd round

Pav has looked pretty shit since Aspinall sparked him, his performance against Volkov in particular was lamentable.

That said, Waldo is a hapless oaf and if he's considered a contender then God help this division. Assuming he's actually trained and in good physical shape, Pav will smash his face in.

Pav has underperformed compared to when he was out there starching Tuivasa and Blaydes in record time and looking like a future champ, but Volkov really did bring his A-game technique to beat him

Waldo is a stupid clown but compared to most HWs he's pretty well rounded

I'm picking and rooting for Pav, but Waldo is better than he looks

I wonder if Pav is a "changed fighter" and now will fight safe and boring every time. Before his loss streak, he was on a 6-fight streak of (T)KO wins.

One or two more like his last one and they'll probably cut him win or lose. They give boring HWs no quarter.
