Wait a second. Isn't Nate like, the worst possible person to beat Conor?

Amongst the realistic options?

Dana just potentially handed his only current star to a Diaz brother who hates the UFC and him, makes 20 and 20, curses and mumbles in all his interviews, essentially is the last person on earth that the UFC will want to market and be able to market, will act like it's no big deal if he wins...and is casually doing a PR campaign to inform the media that everyone in the UFC is on steroids?

Holy shit. If Nate stops Conor, this will be even worse for Dana than Holly stopping Ronda.

My interest in this fight went up tenfold.

When you look st the recent votes for legalization of Marijuana nates got alot of backer. Completely marketable to half of the world. Now half of that half prob wont remember who or why but hey its is what it is.

All this will do is just be more appealing to the other wing of MMA fans such as myself not so much the mainstream public. 50 is wins and becomes who the UFC does not want him to become it's a crown and a title that will be short-lived until the next person beats him. And the story goes on

half the world huh? :rolleyes:o_O

People love to hate, but Conor is taking a big risk.

How would it be any worse than losing to RDA?

"essentially is the last person on earth that the UFC will want to market and be able to market"

I really don't think that's true. I think the UFC wishes he "played ball" more often or easier.

Thing is, Nate doesn't give a fuck, so like whatever and shit, aight?

The Diaz brothers are anti-authoritarian heroes. They have plenty of supporters.

RDA is a champion.

If Conor loses in a close fight he could just come back for another match after cleaning out his own division.
So losing a fight at 170 prevents him from returning to 145 and cleaning out his own division? This fight is better for Conor because in this scenario he didn't get beat at 155. He could fight for that belt without the hypothetical close fight rematch.

Have you guys all forgotten the days when Dana used to praise Nate for being a hard worker who did all the right things for the company when it came time to promote a fight?

He's probably pretty marketable, people like Drama and his fights are fun to watch.

What are you talking about Nate has a huge fan base. Way more than all Brazilians and highly marketable. I don't think he wins but it's better him winning than free fighter RDA.

Look at how much taller Conor is than Nate...pics don't lie! :)

Yeah, long term if Diaz wins, this doesn't really help the UFC much in hyping a fighter up by a lot. Diaz was already on a decline in his division.

I hoe Diaz wins and sticks it to the man.
