I still think he would be the favorite if he were to fight Pavlovich. I think he would pick him apart and knock him out within three rounds.
ima learn sumtSometimes I come on the site and think...maybe I can read a good take.
I felt that way today...but...this thread happened lol.
WTF is happening is I am not doing MMA math like you. Styles make fights and analyzing each potential match ups don't make me a troll. So Tuivasa "Might" beat Volkov but Volkov would beat Pav? If Tai beats Volkov it will be a KO from making it a sloppy slugfest. But Pav who has better technique and way more power won't be able to beat Volkov? WTF is happening here? Its Wednesday so you aren't even doing a "Hot Take Tuesday" troll here.
I don’t think he’s going to lose. I like Tai but he is not an elite fighter, imo. He has a decent chin, and can punch hard.
That can get you a lot of wins. But generally will not make you a UFC champion.
Volkov by decision.

Tuivasa is the quicker and more slick striker when he can manage distance and I am saying this even after seeing him lose to Pavlovich. Pavlovich packs power and has a long reach but he is quite stiff and has to rely on his opponents to brawl with him. Volkov is not that kind of a fighter. He is a cautious striker and I can absolutely see him picking Pavlovich apart with his right hand. In terms of power, I wouldn't be surprised if Volkov can hold his own.
Tai can only win if it is a brawl. I just don't see how Tai can win and Pav can't. I guess you seem to feel Tai is quick and slick but I do not. Not saying Pav can or can't beat Volkov but I am saying 100% IF Tai can beat him then Pav ABSOLUTELY can beat him. Tai also has to land more to get the KO and Pav only needs one.WTF is happening is I am not doing MMA math like you. Styles make fights and analyzing each potential match ups don't make me a troll.

That's called MMA math. I can just as much make the case for Volkov using Overeem.Tai can only win if it is a brawl. I just don't see how Tai can win and Pav can't. I think we have a different understanding of MMAth. To me it is when someone says Fighter A beat fighter B and B beat C so A beats C.That's called MMA math. I can just as much make the case for Volkov using Overeem.
In my opinion, Lewis and Tuivasa are both bigger threats in the pocket than Pavlovich even though they lost against him. I think people are overestimating Pavlovich. I am not sure if you remember this but Blaydes actually hit him with a lot of decent shots and showed that he was the more polished striker (but with less power). Pavlovich's flaws will become even more evident against Volkov because I have no doubt in my mind that Volkov can make the pace of the fight slower and also not brawl with him. Also, Pav is not Ngannou.
