Both Murphy and Evloev are now 9-0. Difference is that since 2024, last two years Murphy is 4-0 and Evloev is 2-0. Going back 3 years, Murphy is 6-0 and Evloev 3-0. And Evloev just pulled out of a fight. Double the fights and double the wins.

Murphy leaped over him and is the rightful #1 contender.

Oh shut up. Lopes was a very short notice fight in his UFC debut, Sterling had no track record at FW and spent all his years at BW. Allen is nothing special either, the best win on his list.

Emmet is a better win than any of those guys. Point is more about activity, one guy is inactive and has 2 fights going back two years and the other guy has 4 fights.

The guy who doesn't fight and just pulled out doesn't get the shot over the guys who's more activec.

And you can be a dominant grappler that at least attempts to finish fights. A stifling grappler with no finishing ability is going to get fucked up by someone like Volk. Even Islam had trouble maintaining offensive grappling against him. Unless Evloev magically gets Rumble power in his hands, he's in for a really rough night.
