Vittori Could Have Ended It In Round 1

Vettori landed a LOT more & clearly with more power. I'm not thinking about what somebody else could be seeing, I'm living in reality based on my educated eye.

FOTY? I said nothing about it being FOTY. Go to sleep dog, you're tired or drunk.

I said FOTY. Careful with all that barking. Seems to me that educated eye has not got bit yet.

Hell, forget GNP, Vettori should have just let Hermannson up. Huge tactical mistake is right.

Hermannson was clearly not prepared for a southpaw and looked terrible on his feet in that first round. Backing straight up, no head movement. Made no adjustment for the straight lefts all damn night.
Is it really that big of surprise that Hermannson was trash in the standup? Dude's bread and butter isn't the standup.

You are right, but that was just one judge's score card. The other two judges saw it 49 - 46, but without the 10 -8 round, it could have been 48-47. Out of the significant blows landed, it's often hard to determine which exactly were harder and if that weighs in on the scoring. Both fighters pretty much let it all hang out and made the fight look a lot more competitive than the lopsided score cards.

You're questioning the scores from the judges but completely believing the "significant strikes" stats? Significant strikes is a crock of shit because the only person who really knows how significant they are is the one who got hit by it. "Significant strikes" is fairly new and was never a statistic anyone ever judged a fight by years ago.

Vettori never seemed phased by any strike. Can't say the same about Hermansson.

He could have, but going 5 rounds & outclassing Hermanson like Hermanson did to Jacare was even more impressive than the early finish.

Dude is only 27 btw. He will get better, especially after gaining this experience.

Yeah not to mention a nice 50K bonus

Good point!
