Im just wondering why Vitor couldn't Finish Jones or Rumble by striking

I feel like in the Jones fight he could of snapped his arm but for some reason let go or just waited for Jones to tap? Also standing he wasn't in any danger? Why didn't he do any spinning shit or blitz on Jones...

Also Verse Rumble. Yeah he beat a pretty heavy Middleweight rumble who prob cut to 185 but dehydrated closer to his real weight class.. But he didn't really rock him or anything? Somehow He got Rumble curled up and started punching his head? Then took his back. Kept punching him. No success so he RNC him...

This was before TRT Vitor if Im correct, with the Mohawk and all.. But why couldn't he finish Rumble like he did to so many guys? He was clearly faster and had spinning shit..

TBH It wasnt THAT much of a Crazy win. It was a submission.. It would have been better if he got a KO from a flying knee or something lol.

When was the last time you seen Rumble Johnson chain wrestle someone? Lol. There's your answer. Vitor had some serious hands if he let them fly.

Maybe because he was a short notice, third choice, injury fill-in opponent who hadn't fought a LHW opponent for HALF A FUCKING DECADE when they fed him to Jones.

When you've spent so long fighting nothing but 185ers it's a massive change to have your very first 205 fight in a million years be against the World Champion.

People go on about how shallow LHW is now, but even when Jones was champ - right in the middle of his reign - they were so short of challengers they had to feed Jones two consecutive MWs.

True.. I just remember Vitor throwing a head kick and Jones blocking it.. Nothing really landed between them.. Jones fights are weird sometimes.

Only two people who beat Rumble since 2012:
CHAMP CHAMP DC
and....
Oh, yes, that´s right: Vitor Belfort.
Everyone else (besides Davis) got knocked the fuck out.
So, YES, what Belfort did looks very impressive to me.

Funny thing is, his two weirdest fights were against MWs. Vitor and Chael, two guys they had to throw in against Jon because the division was so shallow they didn't have enough legit LHW contenders.

Remember Jon's toe in the Chael match? Chael - who at the time hadn't fought at LHW for over 8 years and had never beaten a top level LHW in his whole career ever - was 27 seconds away from being LHW world champion due to doctor's stoppage with Jon's toe smashed to smithereens.

Rumble cut to 197, which is a really, really heavy middleweight. He missed by 12 fucking pounds. He also looked like garbage in the fight as a result, because they fucked with his rehydration to make it "fair" by forcing him to weigh in at 205 or below on fight day. Don't get me wrong, that's entirely on Rumble and I'm fine with it, but it made him gas like crazy in the fight. But Vitor was essentially fighting a LHW, not a MW. Maybe that has something to do with why he didn't go for a standing KO.

God I wish that had landed. I don't know if BJM would even have DQed him for it, considering his comment to Jones when it happened.

GREEAAAT Question! I was wondering the same thing on why Rumble couldn't KO Andrei Arlovski. When Rumble fought Arlovski, 7 out of 10 of Arlovski's losses were by T/KO...so why couldn't Rumble do it? How come Rumble couldn't KO Phil Davis either? I mean he KTFO'ed everyone else he fought at LHW in the UFC. From Lil' Nog to Gus, he knocked them out easily...but why couldn't he knock Phil Davis out?

Rumble actually cut to 187.5, but he was so physically destroyed by it the doctors made him start rehydrating to save him from permanent damage.
