I was watching the UFC Embedded. I really love these series when it's fight I'm interested in and I'm super-stoked about 198.

Anyways, there's this clip of Vitor making some kind of vegetarian pizza and man, his English is unbelivable.
He barely has an accent. That must be one smart dude. Werdum's English is good too but he has very strong accent and phrases things funny at times.

I love how Wandy always makes grammatical errors, and many foreign fighters struggle with English but Vitor seems to just have soaked it up. Amazing.

Obviously he used some performance enhancer. Perhaps Rosetta Stone?

Smart enough to get caught juicing his whole career...pretty smart dude indeed

Vitor is a guy who I think understands the marketing side of fighting a lot better than other guys do. He realizes that in order to be really popular in a US based promotion, it would probably be a really good idea to be able to communicate with the fans without an interpreter. There's a reason why Aldo's run of complete dominance was largely overlooked, and it's not just because he looked less than exciting from time to time. Even A Silva would have been a much bigger star had he actually not have to rely on an interpreter for most of his time in the UFC. What did Wand do when he re-joined the UFC? He went from "I want to fuck Chuck" to actually being able to form a coherent sentence in English (well, coherent may be a bit of an exaggeration, but at least he tried).

It's just about conformity. Others will stress more to conform. He just has a stronger sensitivity to pronounce things the way the person he is speaking to expects it to be heard. He also has been in the English-speaking side of the fight game for almost two decades.

I mean he's been in the us for quite a while. His English has been good for quite a bit, where you been at TS?

I think that he is better than Dana at this point.

Isn't his family a little wealthy, I'm sure his parents focused on him learning English.
