Vitor vs Machida in a BJJ match

vitor is an adcc medallist.

he aint got no guard game though.

Vitor has the same holes in his game that he did when he fought Handy.
 
Belfort. Machida is a guy I like but I really question his status as a black belt. Vitor has shown his grappling chops before despite some submission losses and strange decisions on the floor.
 
Just laying on the floor now will give Vitor PTSD and he'll freeze. Greasy Machida by decision only for the W to get turned into a no-contest later on after he pops for peds
 
Put them in a tournament with Shogun (a BJJ black belt thrice submitted, once by Chael) and Rashad (good wrestler with non-existent BJJ, though he has a black belt, too).

For the record, Machida and Vitor have more submission wins than Shogun,.

Machida is a legit black belt or did you forget he out grappled and choked out Sokoudjou?

No, I didn't forget that. His grappling hasn't looked good at all otherwise, and I'm not sure submitting Sokoudjou alone is proof of his being a high level black belt, but perhaps I'm undervaluing Sokoudjou.

Sokoudjou competed on the international level in judo and trained at Team Quest so his clinch game is insane and overall grappling is better than average.

On the other hand, Tito almost tapped Machida off his back with a triangle. When else has Tito been offensive off his back?
 
Both of them are pretty shoddy BJJ players despite their accolades.

I can see some purple belts tapping them both pretty easily tbh. Vitor has the guard of a white belt.

I think Machida would win it in a contest of the biggest Happy Meal Fraud Belt.
