It's not about diversity. It's about who wants to do the difficult job.

Theres gay romance and supposedly a black man that’s a feminist. The devs have started to push back recently on the loud antiwoke crowd on Twitter. This has been pissing some people off saying they will no longer support it. Honestly if people bash games like assassins creed shadows for having gay romance then they also shouldn’t play this. People like Grummz have been criticized for not being consistent. Personally though I think in an rpg choices are always a good thing.

Took a gander, sounds like people are overreacting. If any gay romance is a player choice, I don't see the issue. As for the black guy, there had to have been some people from different places in Bohemia from time to time, and there certainly were gay people. I can't imagine Warhorse not sticking to making this game as historically accurate as possible.

I'm glad to see the big pushback on "DEI/woke" shit in everything though, even if it's misplaced here (so little info) and a big over correction overall. People are looking for DEI under their pillows these days, but this type of over reaction was bound to happen. The left forced DEI into everything. Go back to the early, even mid 2010's, and the west was on a healthy path towards natural DEI.

I will just go ahead and say that more women and LGBTQ individuals in the dev roles is a net negative for gaming right now because the woman and LGBTQ that are in the dev roles identify with a problematic viewpoint that sucks fun out of games in order to promote a skewed political reform in gaming.

That's not even the issue. DEI is the issue. It's the box checkers that have forced out talented developers, in favor of people who don't know what the fuck they're doing, other than pushing their politics. It's an epidemic that's infected the entire entertainment industry. It's why 80% of movies and videogames suck these days. In the past, these people would be mere coders and not leading a development team.

I saw someone mention this before on X and I think it's true. Right-wingers seem to be obsessed with the left but people on the left can easily shut out the right and never bother associating with them. I think part of that is because a lot of the right is creatively bankrupt. I mean look at the awful cartoons and movies Daily Wire makes. They're absolutely terrible. Its overrepresentation in the sense that the half of the global gaming population you speak of plays casual games like farm simulator, puzzle, and mobile games.
AAA games are played predominately by males who want representation because they are the audience who pays for the product.
