Vieira dominated Tate

Anyone like me who had an early Saturday morning wake up (4:30am) and stayed up to watch the main was the real loser here...

the fight was pretty terrible, a past prime former champ who is basically an undersized and underpowered name, being pushed as some type of more evolved version of her previous mediocre self...

Pitted against a much larger, powerful, younger, more evolved generation of fighter that could’ve easily dispatched Tate. Yet Viera seems to be adverse to getting punched in the face, which prevents her from doing her best work, smashing opponents in the pocket.

The entire affair was fruitless to watch until the 5th round, I couldn’t imagine how frustrated Cordeiro was seeing the fight unfold, his fighter could’ve easily ended it in a few rounds. Actually may have ended it in the 5th is she would’ve continued working and pushing instead of getting on the bike in the last minute.

If the UFC truly wanted to push Tate to fight Nunez, they should’ve done a much better job of match making or cherry picking her road to a title... Viera was a horrible stylistic matchup for Tate.

You're just bias because of the tits.

At least 4 of these media judges actually watched the fight and didn't just stare at Mieshas ass the entire bout.

Hey everyone, look at this troglodyte's blatant sexism!

While the rest of us were distracted staring at Miesha's body, he was busy counting headstrike stats. Maybe Bloody Elbow should hire him.

Thought it was close throughout but Viiera was a step ahead most of the time.

Tate was soundly beaten every single round.
I legitimately don't understand how you could even begin to give Tate a round. I'm not trolling.
Everyone I watched the fight with were laughing at the bias in this fight for Tate.

48-47?!
<DisgustingHHH>

Are you talking to yourself?

You posted an image of a media scorecard but must have ignored the rest of the page. Even from your own chosen source, almost a third of the fans scored it 48-47 for Tate (I scored it 48-47 Vieira).

No. She mentioned that she wants to fight Amanda and that she feels she will be a good comeptetion for her.
oh ok. Cool.
Well.... that fight is never happening again, and Ms. Tate better get used to that.
Match her up with Holm (incoming Tate loss) or Aldana (incoming Tate loss) or Aspen Ladd (hmm, not sure).
Personally I CAN see UFC doing the LAdd vs Tate fight. That's got a bit of a backstory to it. It'd be ok.

Miesha should fight Holm next. Two old ladies In a rematch.
Yeah let’s move her up from losing to number 7 to fighter number 3. It makes all the sense in the world. Quit rewarding loser fighters this way. It makes no sense. You’re just hugging at this point.

I think i saw a 3-1 Tate..going into the 5th in one of the twitter scorecards, really?

Isnt Ladd allegedly being moved to 145? Sounds like all loses for Miesha tho.

then again tate was clearly more active
tough to score, in the end maybe understandable because of the damage done by vieira

probably is.

135 / 145, don't care. That fight would be ok.

Bottom line is : Tate is a product of yesteryear : she is from an early era of UFC women's MMA and she does not belong there anymore, other than as a journeyman.

Her time has come, and her time has gone, and she simply has not quite realized that yet. She might be (maybe) a little closer today than yesterday. She is nothing but average, with a certain toughness.

Tate was never good. WMMA has passed all these ladies by. Let's be real. Tate got beat up by Rocky Pennington before she retired. It's not about just being tough and in shape anymore to be elite. You need to be an athlete and talented.

Viera did AMAZING whoopin on Tate the way she did. Tate has been getting on my nerves pretty bad recently because she's always in the news giving her 2 cents on all kinds of different issues not just mma but some political shit and other shit too. I just find her to be quite annoying. Anyways props to Miesha for getting in there and trying her best but it was Viera's night and she did awesome

Not a close fight? If she had won round 5 she'd be the winner.. Not close enough for you?

so every fight that is scored 29-28 or 48-47 by the judges is a close fight to you? LOL. get a brain.

But Tate was the one who grabbed Viera's private parts on the ground in maybe end of Round 1 or 2. That can't be legal.
