Interesting stuff. I used to practice this all the time, but only because I saw it on the intro of Power Rangers.

I like to throw this kick once in awhile when my opponent is backing off from my roundhouse kicks. I can spin through and cover more distance and it's also a spectacular move to show in a fight. Don't do this against an opponent that is thinking offense because you'll get hit.
