[VIDEO] Countdown: Demetrious Johnson vs Henry Cejudo

Man, I was pumped for the first 15 minutes of this video enjoying the countdown between MM and Cejudo and all it took for me to forget about it was Winkeljohn and his workshop glasses doing drills with Jones.
 
I know how the vast majority of Sherdog feel about Mighty Mouse and the flyweight division as a whole, but I'm actually quite excited about this fight.

Demetrious, like it or not, is a dominant champion, while Cejudo's simply an Olympic gold medalist. I mean, it doesn't get much better than that.
 
I love flyweight division. excited for this fight.

Couldn't agree more. Cejudo is that dark horse (like Holly was).

Even though DJ is in his prime as a fighter and has amazing wrestling himself, the mere possibility of an opponent with a distinct advantage- especially a wrestling advantage really makes this FLW title fight the most interesting.

Everything you just said is 100% right.

But I still can't get excited for a MM fight. I've tried, believe me.

Probably the best match up the division has seen. Still will be what it is tho, won't get any attention and people won't care if DJ wins again. He will never get the recognition he deserves.
Needs to move up a class if he wins then maybe people will take the p4p talks with his name in it more serious.
 
You can't be smaller than Faber and still be relevant. It's the Faber Rule. The size line is drawn at him.
 
First time excited for FLW fight mainly because of Cejudo

I'd like it if the people who don't like the smaller weight divisions would stop posting in threads about them. If you're not a fan, go not care somewhere else.

Honestly I'm looking forward to seeing this fight more than the main event. ( still extremely excited to see JJ back)

I am big on technical, fast paced fights, and the smaller guys bring it way more than the bigger guys technic wise. I am looking forward to see how MM and Henry solve each other's puzzles.

I'm actually pretty pumped for this fight, maybe I'm drinking the Cejudo kool aid, but I hope he can back up his talk and get it done or a the very least make it competitive. I'm not excited for many MM fights, but I was excited for the Dodson rematch based on the first fight, unfortunately turned out to be pretty lame. Hope this isn't the same.
