Oh bullshit, most African countries were left in a far more developed state than they were found in after decolonisation. Better infrastructure, hospitals, trade networks, telecommunications, roads, educational and governmental systems. Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, all thriving metropolises, India a growing world power, Ireland a highly tech oriented economy that punches way above it's weight. I'm not defending colonialism in the slightest but to claim that all these countries were left in a smoking wreck after the Brits left is laughable. South Africa had a nuclear program under apartheid, they can barely feed themselves nowadays.

Certain places used the shit the Brits gave the to take it to the next level, others did not. I'll let you connect the dots on the rest.
