Vettori vs Cannonier?

Owww TS you got me all excited. Vettori really really impressed me with his striking his last fight, he was very quick. However Jarred is also a killer so I’d give a 50/50 maybe 70/30 if Jarreds arm hasn’t healed. But I think the ones to make is Cannonier vs Costa and Rob vs Vettori.


Don’t kill me for saying this but I actually think the fights under Izzy are more interesting as apart from Izzy getting KOed at LHW or HW his fights are a forgone conclusion.

You do realise they've both already fought and Izzy won pretty decisively? It went down as a split decision but it isn't reflective of the fight whatsoever, that judge was Chris Lee who scored it for Vettori and well, say no more.

I do realize that. Vettori has improved his skills and is stronger and more imposing now. Plus, seeing how tough he is against Joker in a 5 round war give me more confidence that he doesn't fade when the going gets tough

How’d Brunson fare pressuring Whittaker? Whittaker has a better more diverse striking arsenal, better cardio and his tdd and ability to scramble will ensure he’s not on the ground for any extensive periods.

Cannonier might be out a while, no? His arm was broken against Whittaker.

Should be fully healed now. His injury usually takes 6 weeks to heal. It's been about 9 or 10 now I think.

Brunson is chinny and tends to rush in with his guard down, Vettori has a steel chin and is more measured

Whittaker has the better stand up and would be faster to the punch. If Vettori's game plan is to stand and bang with Whittaker he'll have to rely on that chin to survive as he'll get picked apart over the course of 3 or 5 rounds.

I'd say we'll see, but no fight signed between the two. I'm a fan of the match up in specific though

Now that Whittaker vs Costa was announced I feel like they are going to sit on Marvin. Have him face the winner of Brunson VS Holland.
On paper, Marvin doesn't look like a top 5 fighter. IMO he shouldn't face anyone above him at the moment.

Really? Seeing as how the fight hasn't happened and I still favor Marvin. Although Whittaker has impressed me ever his last few fights. I was wrong about Whittaker being chinny and shop worn though.
