and if he loses as a direct result of costa being bigger???As a fan of the sport I'm just glad Marvin is happy taking the 20% and punching a dude he doesn't like in the face.

its not the weight per say, its the fact that he's not depleting himself at all to cut.Definitely unprofessional move by Costa, but a few pounds isn't going to make or break the outcome. I hope Diaz didn't start a trend of this shit becoming more common.
Problem with that logic is all you have invested up this point, money-wise, time-wise, weight-cut wise all gets thrown out the window if the fight gets scrapped. No fight No pay. That is an unfortunate reality for some of these situations. Maybe Vettori can still negotiate conditions that are acceptable to him and the bout will proceed. WTF Costa? You're hardly a short-notice replacement! This seems extremely unprofessional, but I don't know all the circumstances of course.if drunk ass costa cant make the 185 lb weight limit then vettori should call off the fight, fuck that, fuck costa. too lazy to make weight so now it falls on Vettori to give up the advantage that he's earned in being in better shape, in having to risk going up to costa's weight. so unprofessional. this is the apex of the sport, cut Costa imo. he seems like a total joke
then he losesand if he loses as a direct result of costa being bigger???
ya, and itll be because of costa being a douche bag and marvin playing right into it like an idiot, which is completely avoidablethen he loses
is it 100% confirmed that Marvin gets no money if he doesnt accept a fight with someone who breached the fight contract? i would imagine he still gets paid the show moneyProblem with that logic is all you have invested up this point, money-wise, time-wise, weight-cut wise all gets thrown out the window if the fight gets scrapped. I agree. I never said it was fair or right. Just glad that a fight I wanna see won't get canceled. That is allya, and itll be because of costa being a douche bag and marvin playing right into it like an idiot, which is completely avoidable

Vettori gained a lot of respect for not caring about the weight. He just wants to fight. I like that
That is a fair question and the best answer I have is that it depends on the contract. They vary so much. I assume there would be financial consequences for Vettori if he scrapped the fight, not to mention a camp and a weight-cut getting scrapped too. Even if he gets show money he would still be missing out on other compensation..perhaps?is it 100% confirmed that Marvin gets no money if he doesnt accept a fight with someone who breached the fight contract? i would imagine he still gets paid the show money
