Bravo! I've heard this argument so many times before. It's refreshing to see someone so dramatically and authoritatively squash this. I personally am a vegan, for both ethical and health reasons... Not many people realize that the vegan plant based diet is actually the healthiest diet, in terms of cardiovascular health particularly! Great for the skin too, so if you have any acne, try a plant based vegan diet. I don't need to go over the ethical/environmental benefits, as you all probably know by now.

Vegan diet + Intermittent fasting = Win!

Periodically it's good to fast and to do a short term vegan diet. It can cleanse your body and do other things. Long term it's not really the best thing for you. Your joints, bones and connective tissue will not be as able to handle the stresses of sport. You will not see generations of vegans every produce successful offspring that go on to be successful athletes.

lol a vegan thread
here we go . . .

Got any facts/studies/research to back up this claim?

I think the best diet is a vegetarian diet that allows meat.

i think vegan gains is a moron plus i'm a meat eater so i was thinking i was going to side with rogan here but joe came off like a fucking retard in all of those clips(as he is one to do)

Curious as to why you think a diet is healthier, that inherently creates deficiencies in multiple essential nutrients, unless otherwise supplemented with?

When confounding variables are removed, the only effect a vegan diet has on mortality is in the area of ischemic heart disease. In that area, a vegan diet is inferior to a pescatarian diet, approximately equivalent to a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet, and only slightly superior to a diet that involves occasional meat eating. Despite this, it's important to remember that all of that is in terms of relative risk. In terms of absolute risk, diet quality is a completely miniscule factor in long term mortality and health, far outweighed by things like diet quantity, activity level, and lifestyle choices like smoking.

Joe Rogan is a bandwagon stoner, a bandwagon hunter, Cant take him seriously. He picks up on things and thinks he's elite.

vegan dude by ref stoppage

The research of Weston A Price. I don't believe he ever encountered a vegan society. And he analyzed the diet of some of the most hardy, capable, strongest and most robust primitive tribes around the world. Of the strongest, they ate organ meats like heart and liver, fish and seafood. Their diet was high in Vitamin A and D and essential fats needed by the body.

Neglecting animal sources nutrients is probably a sure way for a primitive tribe to become weak over decades , and be unable to reproduce strong offspring and probably even lose the ability to reproduce.

Youre literally hating someone for liking good things. Pot + hunting = win. Grow a sac

Why are people so concerned with what other people are eating? I don't see the point in going vegan, but I don't care if people do it. It's a personal choice. Mind your own business.

Had to stop that fruit's video after 15 seconds.

To be fair. Vegans have proven to be terrible parents and bad at climbing mountains. I for one am very interested in their filthy diet.

Well, I've met plenty of arrogant vegans that walk around with a chip on their shoulder for being so and it's annoying as fuck. It's no better than someone throwing the fact they eat meat in the face of someone who doesn't.

Ummm...because a vegan started started this thread, and claimed not only was it ethically the right choice, but healthier as well. The ethical part is purely subjective. But I'm calling bs on a vegan being neccessarily healthier than one that includes animal sources as well.

Well that's my point, this is just shit stirring and for what?

There's advantages and disadvantages to everything, and I agree, I don't think being higher on the food chain and taking advantage of that is a problem. A balanced diet, including meat, is every bit as healthy if not more, than a vegan diet. Ethically speaking, I just ate at Five Guys and it was good.

But, if TS want to eat rabbit food all day, more power to him.
