Dakota has some impressive TDD and scramble instincts, reach advantage, but Shevchenko’s mma experience would be too much currently. I could see Ditcheva making waves though. Her Muay Thai is a pleasure to watch.

Good points. Val would have experience and perhaps strength. I'm not prepared to say her fight IQ is better given I have also seen her fight not-so-smart at times and Dakota hasn't needed that much IQ, so her level is uncertain in that area.

Val would IMO have a much better chance in a 3-round fight. But I think it will come down to striking vs grappling, and I don't think Val will be able to keep her on the ground long enough to avoid getting wrecked on the feet in a 5-round fight.

The overall physicality would give an edge to the much younger fighter. In that pic of both of them in the OP, Val looks old enough to be her mother, lol.
 
Feel like by the time this fight happens it'll be a passing the torch kinda fight. With Dakota winning and Val retiring after a banger of a fight.
 
I should be exicted to think about this fight - even though timingwise Val is bound to retire before Ditcheva is even in UFC let alone fighting Val. But I am not, not after Grasso vs Val 3. Val would try to wrestle and then run the clock. No idea if she could do it. but it would turn boring. A more striking based fight would likely be very entertaining and I think I would strongly favour Dakota there.

Grasso vs Dakota should be super fun on the other hand.

Ya one is just getting started and the other is probably very close to wrapping it up. At this moment in time I think Shevchenko would completely dictate the fight. Shes had her derp moments but she’s as talented, in her own ways, and much more experienced.
 
It's funny because for me is pretty clear Dakota would haver better chances against younger Valentina than the current grappler Val
I don't know how Ditcheva would handle with her mix of striking and take downs. I would prefer to see Ditcheva against more agressive fighers like Natalia Silva and Alexa

The soonest they will fight I'm sure is 1-2 years minimum, by which time I think the tide will have more certainly turned.
 
They're different generations. They either won't fight, or will fight when Bullet is past it. In fact she's past it now, she's already 36.

If they were the same age, who would win? Interesting question. 🤔

I don't think Shev looked better than ever in the third Grasso fight. Grasso is just not a good grappler and Val's whole gameplan was designed around exploiting that.

Val in her prime would have made it a good fight.

It sucks that Val is 36 and Dakota is 26. If Dakota ever comes to the UFC, Shev will probably be pushing 39 by the time a fight happens.

It feels like Val and Grasso have been fighting for years, now. I couldn't even remember the couple fights before then.

Dakota's record looks badass with all the finishes. That said, even with Santos being a same opponent, fighters can fight differently on different nights for whatever reason.

I'm not saying Dakota isn't that good, just she really needs some testing. I couldn't recognize any names outside of Thalia on that list.



It might be cool though it's hard to see Shev Dakota happening. Fiorot and Kayla are already solidly in line.

I would bet on Val, if it were to happen at this point.

Fighters with fantastic records have floundered when that huge step up in the big leagues comes about.

We'll see Shev's longetivity.

Dakota is pushed because she's easily marketable, and she's destroying girls.

Val and Shev have been fighting for years haha. It's been close to 2 years with no title fights at FLW except for them two.

I watch a ton of WMMA and recognize a lot of Dakota's opponents. They're not all amazing of course, but some like Bishop are pretty decent. Bishop would beat plenty of girls in the UFC.

I don't see Shev/Dakota happening either. You mean Fiorot and Erin is in line, right? Not Kayla, I'm assuming haha.

My issue with Shev isn't that she's less skilled than Dakota or anything. Shev's problem is that she's definitely slowing down a lot, which is completely understandable. She hasn't looked anywhere near as quick or sharp on her feet for a while now. Prime Valentina would not have needed 3 fights to beat someone like Grasso. She would have schooled her in 1.

When Shev loses again, it isn't going to be because she was less skilled. It's just going to be because some younger girl around 30 and with enough skill to not get completely outclassed is going to outwork her.

What gives Dakota a big advantage is that she's got the youth, she can defend wrestling, she's longer on the feet, and she can absolutely strike. It'd still be competitive as hell though. I don't think Shev will ever be in a fight where she isn't, right up until she retires at whatever age.

The hardest thing to watch in modern day MMA is fighters starting and capping off a trilogy.

I do think Fiorot is solidly next in line.

Kayla and Erin for number 2 contender after Val Fiorot would be good.

Blanchfield looked really good in the win over thug Rose but 1 more win over a top would solidify the TS.

Manon has to be next. She deserves it over everyone else and it makes sense business wise. She's not young. She's gonna be like 38 or some crap before she fights for the belt. Better to have her possibly be champion now while they can and then have girls like Erin and Natalia Silva later.

Brother, what do you mean when you say Kayla? haha. You mentioned her twice now. Are you sure you're not mixing her up with someone else? This is FLW. Kayla is an enormous BW who cuts down from like FW/LW.

She has no hope of making FLW.
 
Iam crazy enough to think that Szabova smokes Ditcheva....and yea majority of yall have no idea who the hell is Szabova :D
 
Valentina will be like Holly and fight into her 40s … long after she loses the belt she’ll keep going because she has nothing else in her life.
