Holly will probably beat Miesha. And since Ronda is coming back for a while, it is likely that she will fight the Shevchenko/Nunes winner. But stylistically, which one do you think is the bigger threat to Holly?

Shevchenko can rival Holly in technically striking skills, and footwork. She also has a great clinch game. However, only being 5'5 tall, and having fought at 125 in the past, she would be at a significant size disadvantage.

Amanda Nunes is the same size as Holly, and has the punching power to put anyone away, but her lack of cardio could be an issue, especially in a five round fight.

Personally, I think Nunes, just because I feel that Shevchanko is just too small and would get bullied, whilst Nunes would be a serious threat at least early in the fight.

But that's just me, what do you guys think?

Edit: Could a Mod turn this into a poll please? I have no idea how to do that.

Neither of them, Nunes gasses after 1 & a half rounds, Shevchenko likes to make it a dog fight and get into the clinch which Holly is strong enough to negate. When you actually break it down Holly is actually very formidable for WBW.

Nunes, imo. She's dangerous and versatile. In the first round, she's an animal. I think Holly beats em both, thoughl.

people shouldnt sleep on Shevchenko, she looked a force on short notice against Kauffman . on the feet she certainly has enough skills to cause Holly problems

Id say she is the bigger threat

While Amanda packs a lot of power, I would say that Shevchenko is actually the bigger threat. More credentials, more experience in combat, better striking arsenal, better cardio ...

Both girls could give Holly trouble, but I think Shevchenko moreso.

Nunes.
I'm not sold on Shevchenko yet.

Shevchenko actually is a well-rounded fighter, great striker and is a monster in the clinch. Very technical, very precise and doesn't have any cardio issues. Literally the opposite of Amanda Nunes.

Well, in the 3rd round of her fight with Kaufman, Schevchenko looked pretty vulnerable...not that Holly would be much of a threat on the ground. But, I think Schevchenko isn't quite ready for top-level talent.

As others have pointed out: Nunes gas-tank is suspect. But, she is one of the few fighters in BW with legit KO power. With the right punch, she could take out Holm. Thus, I think Nunes is the bigger threat.

But, I'd pick Holly in either of those fights (as of right now). Both Nunes and Schevchenko have a chance to impress me in their next fight, though!

Amanda and she'll prove it when she fights Valentina.

NinjaNiK knows.

I think if it were a 5-round fight, Kaufman would have taken it. I think she didn't change her gameplan fast enough but as long as she kept the initiative, she was doing fine. Schevenko did take it on short notice, though and was a very formidable opponent under that short notice.

Nunes I would say. She looked awesome in her last fight. Her vs Shevchenko is gonna be good

No one knows who Bullet Valentina yet.

I'm always surprised by threads and Rogan claiming that Joanna is the best female striker currently in the UFC. Do Valentina's two victory's over Joanna account for nothing?

Well, they're fighting each other, so whoever wins I guess.

It's hard to say where Amanda is these days, her footwork & striking is definitely improving but I'd have to see her fight someone who isn't a sitting duck on the feet to get a good read on where she stands. She's now using lateral movement & pivots to create angles which makes her a lot more dangerous than was when she lost to Zingano, but again, I need to see how she does against a moving target that can hit back. Can she control range, can she cut off a cage, and so on & so forth.

In short, the Nunes vs. Shevchenko fight will answer a lot of questions. I have a decent idea of how Shevchenko matches up against Holm, but Nunes is a giant question mark right now. She's looked great in her last couple fights, but her opponents were glorified punching bags on the feet so it's very possible that there's still giant holes in Nunes' game that we just haven't seen, and which Holm can exploit.

Three victories actually but 10, 9 and 8 years ago and in a different sport, so no they shouldn't count for a lot.

I think Valentina will beat Nunes handily but I don't see her striking as being superior to Joanna's who has incorporated more elements of boxing and Dutch kickboxing.

I think nobody beats Nunes handily. She presents a challenge to each and every woman on the roster, because she's just so strong and powerful.
She is beatable though. Just not handily.
