Valentina basically saying Grasso won by luck

She said something like “you can be winning every aspect of the fight and one wrong thing can lose you the fight.”

Not sure she was winning every aspect of that fight…. Seemed to be getting pieced up on the feet and had to wrestle to get the win.

The Cage belongs to the Winner -- Champ Grasso!

Fuck interviewing the Loser in the octagon -- giving them a platform to bitch or make excuses, throw shade on the outcome. Escort or carry the Loser out of the cage immediately.

And she's right

Honestly, it was crazy close even before the sub.

I was really surprised by how strong she looked. But that's the thing, is that she started pretty young, and at 115. Going up to 125, while entering her physical prime, was clearly a smart move.
val was clearly winning the fight till the sub

I'm a huge Valentina fan and I think she wasn't looking that great tonight
Me too, but I wasn't a fan of how this fight materialized. She (Val) kept saying she wasn't ready to fight until Santos signed against Blanchfield and then immediately booked this fight against the seemingly inferior fighter and paid for it.

Grasso was even saying she wanted one more fight before fighting for the title after her last win. Shev was licking her lips at the opportunity to fight a striker.

Yeah that didn't sound "classy" to me at all. I like Valentina but she's always had a huge ego. She's not dominating girls like she used to. Not sure if she is declining or the other contenders are starting to catch up to her. But she seems to be in denial about it either way. I think she might lose the rematch. Blanchfield will defnitely beat her.

You can only use the lucky excuse when being robbed on a decision.

I'd like to see the score cards. Was feeling for a few moments that some judges might actually give Grasso more credit for being more active on her back.

She threw a low IQ spinning back kick when her opponent was very close and got her back taken. She was winning the fight at that point.

Val is slowing down but I think she's better than Grasso and just made a mistake.

Apparently winning at all aspects in the fight is when you get outstruck, visibly rocked and submitted lol

She wasn't ever rocked. The striking was pretty even. See I think people just hate Shevchenko for whatever reason. It's kind of funny. I'm glad Grasso was the one to do it.

She was winning under unified rules, but it was a competitive fight and fairly even by "schoolyard rules".

I think she carries a certain amount of arrogance to be honest. It's not unearned, but it pops up in moments like this or even when she lost to Nunes to some degree.

She isn't entirely wrong, but not entirely right either. The right parts are mostly moot anyway

Val has always had a huge ego. Even when other fighters in her division would get compliments, val would be passive agressive towards them. I'm not surprised that she might take a loss badly.
