Chechen and Ingush family names are similar, right? I was so confident that Yandiev was a Chechen name, lol. I thought I could usually tell Chechen names because some -aev endings, Boltukaev, Isaev etc. I am not too familiar with the names ending in -ov, because they are everywhere in the Caucasus lol.

If anything there's more reason to laugh at them now. Reduced to a vassal organisation despite believing at one point they were on a level footing with the UFC because they owned a single fighter.

Some are similar, Evloev is only Ingush (since Evloy Tribe only exists in Ingushetia). I dont know about Yandiev, never heard a Chechen named Yandiev. My family name ends in -ov so we are not always -aev, Chechen and Ingush are basically the same though, its like Russians and Ukrainians.

Not really. The UFC agreeing to work with them is more funny. Of course they aren't on the UFC level. No organization is currently. It's a sales pitch to say you compete with the UFC. To get the UFC's attention and to have them work with you is a success in my book.
 
Funny how co promotion with M1 was supposedly the sticking point to signing Fedor….. now the UFC is pretty much co promoting with them.

And by funny I mean depressing as fuck.

I am an -ov too, bro. High 5, lol. Well I learned something new, I thought I knew Caucasian names, lol. At least central Asian names are reasonably easy to distinguish and of course, Russian names.

Isaev is not exclusively Chechen surname. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isayev_(surname) here you can see people of Kazakh, Bulgarian, Dargin, Chuvash origin.

just hilariously ironic in 2018 UFC decides to work with M-1 Global. so much money to be made off of fedor vs the ufc champ 10 years ago and dana didnt wanna pay fedor shit to fight the champ, especially if it was brock lol. but hey, now they're biggest star refuses to fight for anything less than 100 million dollars. sounds like it all worked out for the ufc.

im sure if they could go back in time after how much of a circus the organization is now they would pay fedor the 3-4 million dollar purse or whatever it was plus PPV and would do the fight. that card would sell 1 million to 1.5 million ppvs.
