UWW European Grappling Championship is set to return in Italy for the 2nd year.
After a successful edition in Sassari, 2016 European Championship will be held 16-17 of July in the Capital of Italy, Rome, in the best venue for combat sport in the country, the PalaPellicone of Ostia Lido.
Saturday 16 July will be held the No-Gi competition, while the GI will be Sunday 17.
According to UWW Grappling regulation, each coutry can enter at the Continental Championship 2 athletes per style each weight class.
Defending Champion is Russia, that last year dominated the ranking at the European with Ukrain took 2nd place and the host nation Italy the 3rd.
Some of the top athletes that are expect to compete at the European include former World Combat Games Champion Abdurakhman Bilarov and former World Champion Ivan Tomasetti.
