Media Usman says Colby won't get rematch unless he faces a contender first

Seems crazy to me that mas is getting s rematch despite being a huge fan
The fight, which will be attended by a ticket purchasing crowd, is in Florida.

The UFC only applied a ranking system to appease the fans and media. It's not something they, the UFC, really give a shit about.

Get colby to fight Leon.

I’d expect colby to handle Leon easily.

for someone that cries that no one will fight him, he was incredibly quick to turn down a rematch that would on paper be an easy win
I agree with that, but the key word there is rematch. Ducking implies that they've never fought.

Usman acts like he only fights #1 contenders in the build up to a rematch with masvidal? is this a joke?

I dont know how braindead you have to be to say this after giving rematch to a guy who didnt do shit in first match yet you are clearly ducking a guy who had very close first fight.

I hope they sell like 200k PPV fucking pricks.

I said since his 50-45 loss to Usman. If we're talking the past, Masvidal got knocked on his ass and dominated start-to-finish by Wonderboy who's looked good lately and has never fought the champ; why shouldn't Wonderboy get the title shot? There should have been some sort of top contender fight first before randomly giving Masvidal a rematch that he most definitely didn't earn.
Wonderboy gotten kod by pettis who got beat by diaz who then was beaten by masvidal, thats how rankings work, masvidal was barely top 10 when thompson beat him

his 50-45 loss to usman was on 10 day notice so you’re missing the context.

the bias is found everywhere “aaa chad would be mcgregor with a full camp”
“Na camps dont matter, cutting weight on a weeks notice and flying across the globe isn’t a factor”
Lol its a squash match so Masvidal and Usman make more money bar a lucky punch, Usman will 50-45 him again and you know that.
i doubt the ref will allow usman to hold masvidal against the cage as long as he did the first fight, with the crowd booing and the fact refs usually dont allow two straight mins of foot stomps.

Would be 10 times more hyped to watch Colby v Usman 2, than Masvidal v Usman again.

I din't even realize they'l have fans back, neat. I still think Usman will employ a similar stradegy, Refs don't usually have a big issue with stalling the fight against the fence from what I've seen as long as your active, and Usman is known for it already. Maybe Masvidal will be able to do a bit more early, I would be suprised if Usman din't wear him out later with constant wrestling though.

Woodley been beat 3 times in a row lol.
Woodley is the same as ever, his competition just isn't people that are scared of him or counter-strikers anymore. Colby was also the only person of the 3 to finish Woodley

Nope. Not when he got the final left overs.
In what world does that make sense? Masvidal got 50-45'd against Usman but yeah Colby needs to earn his shot lmao.

No, you know better than that. Every champion who fight long enough began to fall off. Woodley prime resolved off him being fast twitch and explosive. Once that was gone we saw what happened. He's not the only fighter that has happen too.

Ya but he didn't get his jaw broken and tko. Masdival took hardly no damage for a short notice fight against the champ..

Well usman called him out claiming he was injured his last fight, and that this time he will try and finish masvidal, so i doubt he will stall nearly as much.
And honestly it depends on the refs we’ve seen refs break up stuff for allot less, in pride that definitely would have been separated multiple times.
i think masvidals 10 day notice is why he was content with his back to the cage he was exhausted very early in that fight, and usman couldn’t hold him down his takedowns were ineffective.
I think if usman does take a similar approach even with the ref separating it more often he should still win.
But if usman does try to stand and finish masvidal, he will probably get finished himself

Kamaru is choosing to fight someone that went to decision vs someone that got finished.

This fight, they both have ample time to prepare for each other.

Nope, he's still fast and explosive. Woodley got extremely lucky in the contenders and champion at the time. Lawler has bad striking defense while Till and Wonderboy aren't aggressive strikers. Rory beat Woodley through jab pressure before he was champion and all of his recent losses come from his inability to stop backing up when pressured
