Could be true. Usman for the longest time wasn't sure if he would be healed enough to fight. He may have just went through the motions to weigh-in so he can get paid. Lots of fighters do that so they still get a percentage of their pay since they weighed-in.

The Reddit post came before Aaron's (now) deleted tweet. Reddit is filled with trolls. Anyway, why would Usman attend the ceremonial weigh ins?

We'll find out soon enough. But others have weighed-in and got pulled out after the ceremonial weigh-ins. So it's possible. If they weigh-in they get paid a percentage even if they don't fight due to injuries or other medical issues.

I just want a seat to willing participants doing the man dance for my enjoyment. It makes me a more peaceful dude. No body wants a pro fighter’s nose that isn’t getting paid pro fighter money. It must feel glorious. I remember a young lad in the gym I trained Muay Thai was having amateur fights and was cocky but still a cool dude in the gym but he talked recklessly in the streets and got sucker punched and head hit the pavement. His equilibrium was off from then on not Matt H level or close but the slightest hint or so. He was never just quite the same fighter. Just had to share that for some weird reason. Usman Edwwards or Leon Colby. I prefer the former but admittedly more intrigued by the latter. No sneak shit like they tried to do Jones Sonnen. Which is why some of you who love Hendo must truly hate Jones. You don’t even call him what he deserved for not disclosing the injury and avoiding the beating he earned which would have been Shogun’s level and telling Sonnen on some weasel shit allegedly. Sherdog is real mum on that for some strange reason. That’s why I don’t put to much stock in the heavy debate back and forth. People side with snake moves if it benefits who they like so nah Leon needs to sit this one out if Usman can’t fight. It just feels really snakish
