I had to DM the guy I bet (something I never do on Sherdog) as he hasn't been seen around here since the fight.

I'll wait until tomorrow to officially call him out as a welch. Not that I care all that much. But hey, a bet's a bet!

Do that. Even if you don't care, it's important to weed out the welchers so they can be banned from the next event.

Its a 2 week MIN. bet or until UFC 203. Easy bet for anyone. Let us know.
 
I bet on Nate. @KootenayKid bet on Conor by TKO. We couldn't decide on who lost this bet so we're considering it a draw @Jermei. No losers last night. 2 warriors, What a fight!

Well won, lads. Great fight and the correct result. The tears are nourishing and delicious and the excuses are a delight to my soul. Good on you all for having faith that Conor could make adjustments and prove himself a superior fighter even when going up in weight and facing bigger opponents.


To all the losers, you have my condolences. Nate fought well. But you still picked wrong, so take your punishment like men (unless you are a woman) and learn from this experience!

Guys, it was a great fight. I must admit I was standing and yelling at my TV when Nate had Conor against the cage like he was a heavy bag and just throwing lefts and rights I thought Conor was about to crumble. I had it 2-1 Conor at the end of the 3rd and thought Nate was going to starch him early in the 4th but Conor fought safe and ran for his life. It really was the right move and he won because of it...... Nate had him, he fuckin had him... but it was a great fight. One of the best all time. For real. Like a back and forth 7 game series packed into 5 rounds.

Going forward, I say Conor fights Aldo next to defend his title, then goes for the LW strap, then defends the LW belt against Nate and you have yourself the greatest trilogy in the modern era of combat sports. If they can make Conor / Diaz III a title fight then sweet mother of god it would be epic. The MMA gods will have to allow it though... zuffa's been sold so time will tell. We shall see...

Matchups are so strange. I see it going the same way. Beats Aldo easily, goes back up to 155 and beats Alvarez and hopefully Nate can get one win during this and set up the trilogy for the title. Only thing I can see possibly getting in the way of that plan is Khabib.
