I probably missed a thread on his last month but I was trying to do more research on why USADA changed their testing requirements. It says USADA now tests under 100 picograms per ML are not positive anymore because the “science has changed”. There are several YouTube videos out there if you search for it. Does anyone know more about this?

Picograms now that rings a bell yeah its Jon Jones. Is he still testing positive this many years later? Dana must be telling USADA give Jon six months advance notice for any testing they'll be doing cause god forbid they were to show up at his front door unannounced the PED's would be off the charts.

They're all on dude.

Theyve been on since the days of Royce and Shamrock when guys were getting $500 a fight.

Now fighters can make millions.

You're living in a fantasy if you think pro athletes are not.

Well Jon Jones had hid from testers knowing he’d fail
Jon Jones now claims his levels were legal

this just seems like it’s easier for cheaters to cheat but I’m not well taught on this stuff but it does seem extremely fishy, UFC has been increasingly sketchy too with bad refs and judges that have seemingly favoured the money makers.

I am 100% certain there are honest fighters in the UFC in the last 5 years who are clean and do not use any performance enhancing drugs.

Picograms make no difference in performance. Dosage is in mg. 1 Picogram is like 10^-9 of a mg.

He was obviously cheating but the tolerance is way too sensitive.

see my attachment. It says 33 picograms was found in his system against the Gus 2 fight

It's not about the amount of picos.... If there is any trace at all it means the athlete was using and likely had significantly higher amounts at a different time and on top of that has likely been taking steps to mask their steroid use, so having even trace amounts indicates they were using.

I wouldn't even mind if there were no testing at all but this is just becoming a farce.

33 picograms is honestly nothing. It is a tiny ass number 3.3 × 10-8 mg. Let me put it in words. It is 33 trillionth of a gram. It's also a metabolite not the parent drug. The M1 metabolite is what they use for an active positive test. M3+M4 metabolites are byproducts that stay in the body much longer. USADA doesn't have a smoking gun with finding M3/M4 metabolites when someone was previously busted with it. Most likely Jones was microdosing but they can't prove it with only those particular metabolites.

UFC isn't breaking the rules for Jon Jones. They are following what other sports are doing by setting thresholds. Baseball had a turinabol scandal in 2015 and other scandals with other drugs like Nandrolone or Clenbuterol.
