If it's true that Brock tested for the same thing as Jones, It's probably evidence that the USADA testing caught up to whatever those two guys in particular were doing. It doesn't mean everyone else is clean though.

What's wild about this is these guys are probably two of the wealthiest fighters around. You'd think they'd both be using state of the art cheating methods.

I was thinking the same thing: the lab must have developed a more sensitive test that detects a longer lasting metabolite of clomiphene than the old test did, thus throwing off the time drug gurus accept as the 'safe window' for use.

If testing caught up expect more changing in medals at the Olympics. Just not right away as Rio lab still had not been reinstated last I checked.

All these dudes remind me of Rafael Palmeiro, sanctimoniously denying doping then getting caught.

This is only the beginning gents.

The cheaters always have a bit of an advantage in staying one small step ahead of the doping cops. But every once in a while. The cops catch up for a little while. It's a vicious cycle. Now the cheaters need to develop their next way to cheat. But USADA isn't fucking around.

Or Lance Armstrong. He successfully cheated for over a decade. Always had something ready even when it looked like testing would get him. He only got caught when he was ratted out by a teammate and the evidence couldn't be denied anymore.

Not really, someone correct me if I'm wrong but Brock nor Jon failed for the steroids, just the estrogen blocker when you have cycled off

That's correct but it's still a banned substance precisely because it's used to cycle off steroids. That's why they test for all kinds of stuff like masking agents, not just the steroids themselves.

The real problem is these so-called “Rules”: no groin strikes, no eye gouging, no blows to the back of the head, no kicks to the spine, no knees to the head of a downed opponent, no soccer kicks and no weapons.

I agree. On another note, I edited my original post, just to show I can spell and use proper grammar. Lol

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't that teammate life practically get ruined by bringing armstrongs use to public? Or was this another team mate?

Lol I thought you were going to say caught up with all the 200 tests, wonder if they are all done.

Armstrong had various accusers over his long run, some teammates and some not. Most he sued to hell and back, in some casing ruining their lives because they told the truth. It was Floyd Landis and Tyler Hamilton, two of his US postal teammates who finally put the nails in the coffin. There was just so much evidence after those guys came clean that Armstrong couldn't deny it any longer and quit fighting the USADA.

Back in May of this year the IOC went back and re- tested 265 samples from the 2012 London Olympics using new tests/methods and found 23 athletes tested positive for things that, at the time, were unknown or couldn't be tested for. 23 out of 265 samples. The also did the same for 454 samples from the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and 31 of those samples failed.

You might get away with it at the time, but its getting harder and harder to keep getting away with it.

haha. That's actually a good point. Who knows? Maybe they'll catch some others while they're at it?
