Obama will do nothing. Usually when the superpowers get involved in armed conflict with a non superpower they will not see any direct intervention by other superpowers.

And by superpowers I mean countries that have nuclear weapons.

US goes to Iraq and Afghanistan, Russia and China do nothing.

US goes into libya using air power, Russia and China do nothing.

Russia goes into Georgia, US, UK, France, China do nothing.

Russia goes into Afghanistan, US indirectly intervenes.

China goes into Vietnam, US, Russia do not get involved directly.

this is the likely outcome. nobody wants to start ww3 by being the 1st to directly attack.

america can just fund some radical muslims to fight Russia........... always seem to work out well. Or Russia can fund some radical muslims to attack American interests. Could get really messed up if things got heated.

Putin has flat out worked Obama. He's made him look weak, stupid and ineffectual. If this was a UFC match, the Ref would have stopped it by now.

Unless the Russians do something outrageously stupid, and I mean of the order of magnitude of putting Russian soldiers into Poland, the West is going to make a lot of sound and fury, but little else. I feel sorry for the Ukrainians who don't want to become part of Russia, but the brutal truth is, the West isn't going to risk WWIII for Ukraine.

This. There isn't anything interesting in Ukraine, in natural resources, nothing that America would want. There is not a desire for global warfare and with the mounting of tensions throughout the world, especially in the pacific, Venezuela and Latin America, and of course the Middle East, America isn't going to risk shit hitting the fan.

In that case, I will sign up if they pay me like an entry level financial analyst. Now the last time I spoke to a recruiter he says I can go to officer candidate school. So I actually be paid like a VP and get those bonuses.
