Faber is a great fighter but the truth is, the game moved on and he got left behind. He'll never beat Cruz and like hell he's gonna be able to get to a FW title shot if he moves up - Frankie beats him handily and Aldo would break him again. I just don't see a UFC belt as being a realistic possibility for him at this point.

Bisping never got a shot at the title, Faber is the only one to go 0-4 in the history of UFC title fights.

I agree, but Faber at the top of his game lost to Brown and Aldo. Now age is probably his biggest obstacle, but I think his skill set didn't evolve the way other fighters' skills did. Can't knock his work ethic, though.

Faber gets a lot of hate but he's sort of the pioneer for smaller fighters reaching prominence in mixed martial arts. I like Faber. He seems like a stand-up guy. He even got Conor to like him a bit, lol.

Still, age and fight mileage are always the biggest hurdles for talented fighters outside of just running into better ones. Faber did that when he was younger. Now he's run into the other portion.

He's still a good fighter and relevant, but he's no longer elite. There's nothing wrong with that in reality, only here, on Suredawg.
