I'm listing these as "indies" as i seen these called indies, even if word is becoming ever more ambiguous
Also getting my money of the title is'nt about be superior quality or anything, is just about get my money lol

2026
no need explain much

2026
Love the idea of Chess themed action game

2026
Remember me a lot Black Knight Sword and Puppeteer two games i liked, Puppeteer in particular imho was insane underrated

TBA
I'm a PS5 guy who would accept Temu Zelda since i can't get actual Zelda game (and i'm still mad the forgotten Gods & Monsters trailer got Netflixed into Fenyx Rising lmao), hope ends up good, also give me old school vibes
I hate these super fat damage numbers, hope i can turn it off

2026
Like many many recurring genres indies keep spam, pixel wannabe SotN sure is one, but Mariachi Legends mexican vibes do tremendous job at separate it from rest of dark fantasy/gothic ones, chara design, pixel art/animations looks cool and love color palette

2026
I usually hate this kind of farr above camera in games, but art directions here is something nice, remind me 16 era and Puppeteer

Good list but I think Reanimal and Mina the Hollower absolutely deserve to be on this list.

Not be there is'nt necessary being inferior is just not getting my money 😁

Reanimal looks crazy good but give me these Little Nightmare vibes that never gave me urge to play or buy

I just discovered Mina the Hollower from your post and looks very cool but clash with my allergy to retro-style pushed to extreme, Mariachi wich is 32bit era style already pushing my limits lol, but again is just about personal taste

Talking about other stuff, i'm still mad this never became a thing

there's a more recent vid, but feels less charming and still no release date

Fenyx Rising was dope
I guess in these cases english thing to say is to each his own 😁

To me was kinda huge "betrayal", i mean i love Zelda kind of stuff and i chosen to don't own a second console (that would surely be Nintendo) and that old G&M prototype felt the Zelda/Kid Icharus total rip-off that i needed, kinda like Astrobot partially filled that Mario-game needs (but i wish for many more on PS5, hopefully Astro getting Goty pushed sony bit more on the genre)

Then it got reworked into FR and was'nt that thing anymore
But to be totally honest i've absolutely no reason to think G&M would have end up how i was hoping, teaser was just a cutscene type of thing to sell the vibes and AC Odissey team is'nt exactly first group of devs i would/should ask to deliver me old school japanese games vibes 😁

Guess fair game my hopes were crushed, got long history of these mistakes lol

My best hope to finally get good one may be if Sega digging in the old stuff closet will discover they used to have this

(and break my heart by either make it Nintendo exclusive or make it shitty <lol>)

Fair enough there’s only enough time to play games you really want to play
Guess helps i have ridicolous backlog

I currently OWN games that i still did'nt played (to start one i like have some consecutive free days to dive in and is rare)
- Ghouls n' Ghost Resurrection
- Metal Slug Tactics
- Lies of P

Then got some i promised myself to buy
- Unicorn Overlord
- The First Berserker Khazan
- Granblue Fantasy: Relink
- Ninja Gaiden 4
- Enotria (for art direction alone tbh)

Good side of have zero hurry to buy day one (unless it's my very favourite stuff) guess is when i finally do it it's usually super cheap discount so i grab like 3-4 in one fair shot or i even get some for free with PSN month thing, happened recently with Tunic

This one got my attention too

Must see if is decent played at just 1-2 or if is designed around 4p chaos to give it's best

Yea, I get what youre saying about the expectations, I wasnt really enjoying it very much at first because I was expecting this huge action adventure epic but once I realized it was an old school puzzle platformer in a modern skin then I started playing it correctly and really enjoyed the trip it took me on

Thought I'd contribute one more post to this thread. In addition to Reanimal and Mina the Hollower there's a few more indies that I think look very promising.

Denshattack - I love over the top crazy games that the Japanese make which focus on gameplay above all us.

The Eternal Life of Goldman - Simply gorgeous artstyle, also kind of endearing to play as an old man for a change.

Darwin's Paradox - It's like Little Nightmares but silly

Mouse P.I. For Hire - Disney style graphics in a FPS. Sign me up! I thought this looked awesome from the first trailer and it's finally releasing March 19

Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement - Sequel to Ritual of the Night, enough said. Following up one of the best castlevania type games it's hard not to be excited for this.

Vaguely remember that, looks cool will keep eye on it

Totally forgot to mention this but yes, is surely in my must buy list

This is another promising one, unless there's a reason for it feels so retarded NOT have it on PS5 and Switch
