Growing up, I had zero luck with the ladies. However, I really didn't give a shit.

Back in high school, I saw many of the kids who partnered up (boy friend/girl friend) and I saw how much freaking work it took. Plus, each of those kids lost a part of themselves in their relationships. It was almost as if their personalities morphed into one being. They were so emotionally invested in their relationship, that they seemed trapped. I was hell bent on not getting trapped in my hometown.

Heck, I had no idea who I was as a teenager. I certainly wasn't interested in becoming attached to someone else who would try to define me.

Then, I did the healthiest thing ever: I grew up.

I left town and went to college. A college another state over. Then, low and behold, I was more mature and things just sort of worked. College aged women (my peers) liked me.

Then, after graduation, I got a job and acted like a responsible adult and I connected with similarly minded women.

Confidence and some decent personality traits are honestly much more important than looks. I've got good facial structure, but was painfully shy and awkward until moving away from home at 20 and finding my own two feet. As soon as I stopped freezing up when talking to women, lo and behold, they were down to stay the night. From 20-25 I had more women than I can shake a stick at, and I wasn't any better looking than I was at 16-20 when I was lonely.

I have a friend who basically looks like Shrek and who was just as awkward around women as me: things changed for him after college when he got a good job and a confidence boost from that success - he's got a lovely girl and three kids now, and why shouldn't he? He's a great guy: funny, considerate and dependable. Now single women in their 30'ies look at him and think about what could have been.

They key is learning to relax around women you want to pick up. It takes practice and then things change.

I'm an ugly dude. 5 years ago, I was over 300 pounds with a receding hairline.

And I dated attractive women. Incels are shitty human beings. I didn't have money. I just had a personality. I was the funny guy at parties. I was smart enough to have conversations with women about anything. I was charismatic enough to come across as charming.

Incels, on the other hand, are bitter little s who have no social abilities whatsoever. They're probably all completely inept, and in the rare event that a woman even talks to them, they just come off as awkward dorks. They get bitter from rejection and then make the biggest mistake; They never ask themselves "how can I improve?". If you read anything incels have to say, it all boils down to "look how smart I am, why don't women want me instead of those FUCKING CHADS".

The issue isn’t ugly guys not being able to get laid. It’s ugly guys that are attracted to hot woman and get mad when they can’t land one, instead of finding a woman on their own level. These guys are usually chronic porn users and that skews reality.

I agree though that looks play a role, and also that a good personality or economic status can equalize things. But if you aren’t open to judge a woman on things other than their looks, why should they do the same?

I've figured that out a long time ago.

Guys who have traits women are interested in are more likely to be assholes as a biproduct.

But these dudes act like women just go out hunting for assholes. In reality, they want confident, charismatic, ambitious, successful guys. They find out later that these dudes are complete shitheads.
