Unpopular boxer made more in 1 fight than Ngannou can get in his lifetime!

I haven't seen a thread this dumb since the influx of TUF noobs circa 2005

I stopped reading after...unpopular boxer<45>

Ts you have never watched boxing in your life admit it

Roughly translated as:

One of the greatest Cruiserweights of all time is unpopular because I don't know much about, or like him.

You serious?? He fought AJ and beat him twice...he might not be a Fury or Joshua level draw, but once you beat them you became one at least for the rematch, Andy Ruiz Jr didnt got that much the first time, but he got millions on the rematch.

Oleksandr Usyk, who has never been a draw & always seen as a boring boxer has made £42 million in his last fight against Anthony Joshua. £42 million = $49 million.

No wonder why UFC fighters often call out boxers. McGregor, Ngannou, Usman et al.

Comparing a former Undisputed Cruiser Weight Champ and Unified Heavyweight champion’s payday (including AJ being a huge draw and a Saudi backed event) in a sport that has been around for an extremely long time to the UFC is apples and oranges. Usyk is well known!

Probably a Saudi Arabia bonus there. Both Usyk and Joshua made exponentially more money for that fight than the interest probably commanded simply because they had the fight in Saudi Arabia. Like that LIV golf league they are bankrolling. No way that will ever turn a profit but they like to throw money around. They don’t spend money to profit. They spend it to entertain themselves.

I wouldn’t even recognize this guy if he walked by me but damn he’s making dollars

I think MMA is more spread out. Just look at the main event card payouts compared to boxing main card payouts there is a big difference.
What does mma money being more spread out have to do with top end pay? They aren't related

I'm gonna have to disagree with the claims that hes boring or has never been a draw/star. You can give more credit to his opponents and the UK audience I guess but the fact remains his fights with AJ, Del Boy and Bellew did well. Apparently the Chisora fight got an additional 100k buys in his home country too.

But yes, Ngannou deserves more money. I dont think anyone should be getting paid £42m for fighting though, thats too far.
Who should all that money go to if not the boxer? The promoter?
