It's a really good documentary so if you haven't seen it then GTFO of this thread and go watch it before returning. Because there will be spoilers.

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, who's seen it and what did you think?

That mom should be on a special list, so she can't be around children and can never use any kind of electronic communication device. If that girl has any sense, she gets a restraining order. That mom didn't make her daughter sick so she'd depend on her, but it was just as bad.

It was @lsa all along

The father showed a lot more restraint than I would have. The "mother" is a complete and utter psycho who should never be around her kid (or any other kids) ever again

Yeah I was kinda sad to see the girl immediately forgive her mom like that. It felt like she hasn't even processed what happened properly yet.

She needs to get angry and hate her mom for a bit and then maybe slowly begin rebuilding the relationship.

But the way she's taking about how she wants her mom back already sounds like she's still in the denial phase.

But the mom was allowed to communicate with her from prison and I think that's wrong. She's very manipulative and it allowed her to keep her influence over her daughter.

I think the mom should be allowed zero contact with her until she's 18 and the girl can decide for herself at that point if she wants to reconnect.

Haven’t seen it yet but might watch if it’s online. I love a good catfish story.

From the show Catfish there was a woman who went into her daughter’s phone and took her photos and nudes to use to catfish underage boys (I think the daughter was underage too) and that story has stuck with me for being so fucking messed up. I’m guessing this documentary is something like that?

That cunt isn't a mother. That's an insult to actual mothers. She's a classic case study of a female psychopath. The doc was more interesting than I thought it would be. I'm glad they left in all of her rambling, bullshit excuses, just showed her psychopathy that much more. The depth of her lies and manipulation isn't very shocking if you've studied these type of bitches, but how hard she went at her daughter, is. This cunt is incredibly dangerous. It's worth a watch.

I left feeling like everyone was in on it to get famous on netflix and it got out of hand.

I read about this story like a month before this was released.
The mom is fucked in the head from what I read. Who would do that to their own child?
I’ll add this to the list to watch soon.

Can't determine what the mom's motive was. Just loved the drama and attention or if she actually had a crush on the boyfriend?

the mom is a special kind of cnt, went out of her way to hide her number and sending late msgs to cause chaos in her kids lives.

It was spoiled for me but I would still watch it from the start I really only know the reveal but not a lot of the details in the messages and such so It's still worth a watch.

All the above. Jealous of her daughter's youth/looks, obsessed with her boyfriend, and an attention hound. Her friend even said that if there was a camera she would have to get herself involved in some way.

It was more than that though. She drove them to bankruptcy, said she had a job when she didn't....... she's a special kind of nutter.
