Dedicating this Thread to some talk about underrated/overlooked Directors.
Some guys who aren't constantly mentioned in Film discussions among non-Film geeks.
Dont even try to bring Spielberg,Scorsese or Kubrick into this.

French Connection 2 (1975)-highly underrated

Duds:
The Island of Dr.Moreau (1996)
Reindeer Games(2000)-i actually ejoy that one
He was mostly reduced to TV movies in the 90s and did some great work there with Against The Wall,Andersonville,George Wallace,Path to War
To me he'll always be the King of political Dramas
