Problem is that nobody deserves to step up and face Rob. Romero has the best case but he either has to go up or prove he can make the weight.

Gastelum winning a tight decision over Jacare isn't enough when Weidman trashed him. Weidman has a one fight win streak so nope. Jacare coming off an L to Gastelum is out of the picture. Rockhold is the wildcard. Its all made worse because most of them have fought each other and victories are randomly split.

So we need to give some surging guys access to the top 5 while creating a contender. Rob needs to wait for a contender to emerge and go play some video games.

Romero vs. Gastelum. If Gastelum is as great as he thinks he is. Prove it. If he beats Romero he is simply undeniable. If Romero beats Gas and makes championship weight he has a way better case for a final crack at Rob. If Gas wins he gets the shot. If Romero wins he might get the shot pending other results.

Jacare is on the outer and needs to string some together. Branch wants him and I make that fight.

Weidman needs another good win against a top guy. Problem is he has lost to Rockhold and Romero already and anyone else aside from them is a worse win than Gas. Enter Darren Till. Till has no business being at welterweight. I give him the money he needs to move up and help clear this logjam by fighting Weidman. If he wins he is a viable next contender. If Weidman wins he is a viable contender. Either of these guys gets the next shot if Romero beats Gastelum.

Rockhold seems to be done with 185 but I think the division still needs him. Depending on whether DC wins and vacates the 205 belt. If DC loses I book Rockhold vs. Tavares if Brad wins. Adesanya will need another fight if he gets past Brad.

The bottom half of the top 10 is going to have some guys ready to step up soon. Shoeface vs. Brunson, Hall vs. Costa and Tavares vs. Adesanya will create opponents for any of the guys that lose the aforementioned fights.

Imo Gastelum has done enough to deserve the TS. If not, then have him rematch Weidman in a title eliminator bout.

If Rob was ready to start a camp I agree. Given he isn't I say use the time to build a contender nobody can refuse. Romero vs. Gastelum and Till vs. Weidman solves it.

Uhhhh.... have you asked Till about this?

Don't like this solution at all.

Romero has missed weight twice in a row and lost back-back fights to Whitaker. He should really move to 205 now.

Till shouldn't fight Weidman in his first MW fight. Might as well do Weidman vs the winner of Tavares-Adesanya then.

Just give it to Weidman so he can get knocked out. That ought to shut him up for a little while

This what happens when a cowardly Brit ruins division for 2 years ..domino effect a memorable one.Gegard gone.

Uhhhh.... have you asked Till about this?
I actually tried to a few weeks ago on Twitter but I got no reply haha.

But basically, he missed weight at WW by a ton and posted a video of nearly dying so how can he justify not moving up? He also has a win over a guy who beat the MW champ.

If Till moves up why shouldn't he fight a top guy? Gaethje came from outside the organisation and fought a top guy right away. Till is an undefeated top 3 guy at WW with a win over a guy who KOd the MW champ in round one who was the current number one contender. Who else should he fight if he moves?

Which winner gets it then?

Gastelum if he wins. The winner of the other fight if Romero wins.

Romero is the champ in that division, the rest are all fighting for second place.

Mousasi is the GOAT MW. so it doesn't matter who rob fights people know who is the best!!!

The problem is that the guy who should get the shot (Gastelum) lost to the guy who shouldn't get the shot yet (Weidman) and the other guy (Romero) is probably never getting another shot against Whittaker.

Garbage situation.

That's why he lost twice to Whittaker. Once when Whittaker had one leg and the other when Whittaker was fighting with one hand.

Sure, same way that Hendricks “lost” to GSP, but we all know lol...

I'm not a fan of Till's weight cutting either but I'm sure his body will force him up to MW in the not too distant future.

Nobody makes sense. Wish Mousasi was here tbh, but I see Whittaker beating him with strong TDD and high striking output.

Kelvin earned the title shot
I don't understand the confusion

Was talking about Bisping.... unless you were coming out of left field with that, lol.
Actually, if Till proves to be natural 185- don't mind.
So many questions at 185. Whitaker might be great....maybe not. We'll see- timing alot in this sport.
